Kidney stones can cause sudden and intense symptoms that are often hard to ignore. Knowing the warning signs can help you seek treatment early and avoid complications.
Watch out for these signs ⚠️
- Severe side or back pain: often comes in waves and can be extremely intense
- Pain that radiates to the lower abdomen or groin as the stone moves through the urinary tract
- Blood in urine: urine may appear pink, red or brown
- Frequent or painful urination: burning or urgency when passing urine
- Nausea or vomiting: often caused by the severity of the pain
Kidney stone pain should never be ignored. Early diagnosis can help manage pain, prevent complications and support faster recovery. If you suspect kidney stones, speak to your urologist, Dr Paul, for proper evaluation and treatment.
