Too many South Africans living with persistent back and neck pain never get the time, guidance, or support they need to truly rehabilitate.
Instead, they often find themselves moving from one appointment to the next, trying different treatments, searching online for answers, and hoping the pain will eventually settle.
The reality is that persistent back and neck pain often requires a structured plan, ongoing support, and enough time to build strength, confidence, and resilience.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that Ané Louw Physiotherapy has joined the Workability Network of Excellence.
The Workability Back & Neck Assistance Programme is a structured rehabilitation programme of up to 12 sessions that helps qualifying members access evidence-based rehabilitation for persistent back and neck pain through participating medical aid risk benefits rather than day-to-day savings.
Collaboration with GPs and occupational therapists forms part of the rehabilitation process where appropriate.
You may qualify if:
✔️ Your back or neck pain has been present on most days for more than 3 months
✔️ Your pain affects your work, daily activities, exercise, hobbies, or quality of life
✔️ You are looking for a structured rehabilitation plan rather than temporary symptom relief
✔️ You are ready to play an active role in your recovery
Participating medical aids include:
• Profmed
• Bestmed
• GEMS
• Polmed
• CompCare
• Massmart Health Plan
• Wooltru
• OMSMAF
• CGMS
• SABMAS
If you’ve been feeling stuck with back or neck pain and unsure what to do next, this program may provide the clearer pathway you’ve been looking for.
