Tomorrow, 100 young people from Chayil Foundation’s care centres and our community partners will have the incredible opportunity to participate in the Future Young Professionals Growth Co-Lab at the University of Johannesburg.
This is so much more than just a day out of the community.
It is a day of learning, exposure, inspiration and possibility — giving our young people the opportunity to step into a university environment, engage with professionals and mentors, develop new skills, broaden their thinking and begin to see just how much is possible for their futures.
At Chayil Foundation, we believe that changing communities starts with investing in our children.
Many of the young people we serve face difficult social and economic circumstances, but their circumstances should never determine the size of their dreams. When we expose them to education, opportunity, positive role models and spaces where they can imagine more for themselves, we help open doors that can change the direction of a life.
We are deeply grateful to the University of Johannesburg, College of Business and Economics, for creating this platform and welcoming our young people.
It is also a tremendous privilege for Nadine van Rensburg, in her capacity as Director of NVR Academy, Director and Counselling Therapist of NVR Counselling Therapy Centre, and President of IAC Africa, to serve and be part of this meaningful collaboration.
Through these platforms, the commitment remains the same: to serve, to empower, to guide and to create pathways of hope and opportunity for the next generation.
Collaborations like these remind us that when organisations, educators, professionals, community leaders and mentors come together with a shared vision, we can create experiences that have the potential to change lives.
