🧠 Detecting and Responding to Trauma, Abuse, and Learning Difficulties in Young Children Workshop
Early detection saves futures — every child’s story deserves to be heard, understood, and supported.
Recent South African research shows that 1 in 5 children in mainstream classrooms present with sensory or learning difficulties, and up to 30% display emotional or behavioral signs linked to trauma or developmental challenges. Many of these children go unnoticed until their struggles affect learning and relationships.
Join Isiyalo Wellness Centre’s ECD Workshop to learn how to recognize early signs of trauma, abuse, and learning difficulties, and respond with empathy and evidence‑based strategies. Our psychologists and social workers will guide you through practical tools for observation, communication with parents, and referral pathways that protect and empower young learners.
