She looks lifeless when she's dry.

The Resurrection Plant can curl up and appear completely dead when it has no water.

Then water comes.

Slowly, it opens again.
The green returns.

Sometimes women are like that too.

Still functioning.
Still showing up.
Still getting everything done.

But inside, there's nothing left.

You may not look exhausted.

You may not look like you're struggling.

But you know.

You're running on empty.

And maybe you don't need to push harder.

Maybe you need to be restored.

What does running on empty look like for you?

Without Compromising Myself

I showed up.
I cared.
I did what I could.
And I rested when I needed to.

The past few days reminded me of something I'm still learning:

I don't have to perform to prove that I care.

I don't have to do everything to prove that I'm responsible.

I don't have to ignore my body to prove that I'm strong.

I can ask for help.

I can do what I can.

I can stop when I've reached my capacity.

And I can accept that someone may not understand my choice.

What mattered to me was this:

I wanted to be present without compromising myself.

That was enough.

And honestly, that felt like progress.

What if something that looks completely dead… isn't?

What if something that looks completely dead… isn’t? 🌿

Meet the Resurrection Plant.

This is the plant at the heart of Mupo Harmony.
And its story is one of resilience.

Dry, curled and seemingly lifeless—yet when it receives water, it opens up and comes alive again.

Nature’s reminder:
You can go through a dry season without losing your strength.

Sometimes, you’re not finished.
You’re simply waiting to bloom again.

🌿 Remember the Resurrection Plant.
A symbol of resilience, renewal and the wisdom of nature.

Do you know what happens when something goes wrong and you finally stop punishing yourself for it?

I've been learning that self-love isn't always about saying, *“I love myself.

Sometimes it is much quieter.

It looks like accepting that you made the best decision you could with the information you had.

Allowing yourself to feel what surfaced.

Anger.
Disappointment.
Embarrassment.
Sadness.

And then giving yourself grace.

And moving on.

Recently, something happened that triggered me.

The encounter kept replaying in my mind.

The old part of me could have gone back and asked:

Did I say enough?
Should I have explained more?
Did I handle it correctly?

But instead, I found myself saying:

You responded. You did well. There is no need for further clarification.

And something became clear to me.

Sometimes we keep reopening situations that are already finished because we haven't given ourselves permission to move on.

We analyse it again.

Explain it again.

Fix it again.

Prove ourselves again.

But perhaps we don't always need another answer.

Perhaps sometimes we need acceptance.

Grace.

And the willingness to say:

It happened.
I felt it.
I learned from it.
I accept it.
And I am still here.

We don't have to get every decision right to trust ourselves.

We don't have to make everyone understand us.

We don't have to turn every difficult moment into another test we must pass.

Sometimes we can simply say:

I've done enough.

And continue.

I'm learning that love without words can look like acceptance and grace.

And sometimes, loving yourself means not abandoning yourself in an event that has already ended.

Maybe you need to hear that today too.

There is a difference between understanding something and living it.

I've been learning that through my own reflections.

An insight can make perfect sense intellectually, but the real test comes when life allows you to practise it.

Can I pause when I feel triggered?

Can I act when fear tells me to wait?

Can I receive without feeling that I have lost control?

Can I rest without interpreting stillness as failure?

Can I make a mistake without turning it into a judgement about who I am?

These ordinary moments have become my evidence.

I'm beginning to see reflection differently.

It isn't simply looking backwards and analysing what happened.

It can be a way of becoming more conscious of how we are living **right now**.

Notice.

Pause.

Choose.

Observe what happens.

Reflect again.

The process isn't linear, and it certainly isn't perfect.

But perhaps meaningful change doesn't require perfection.

Perhaps it requires sufficient awareness to make a different choice when the opportunity arises.

That is what I'm learning to practise.

And that learning is beginning to shape not only how I live, but how I think about the work I hope to do with others.

Not every reaction deserves to become a response.

I've been learning this slowly.

Sometimes something happens around us and our first instinct is to judge, correct, defend, explain or fix.

I've been practising something different:

Pause.
Observe.
Then choose.

Not because the feeling isn't valid.

But because the feeling is information—not necessarily instruction.

I can feel irritated without attacking.

I can disagree without judging.

I can care about someone without taking responsibility for their choices.

I can listen without becoming consumed.

And sometimes I can ask myself:

“Why did this trigger me?”

That question changes the conversation.

Instead of immediately looking outward for someone to blame, I get the opportunity to understand what is happening within me.

I'm not trying to become a woman who never reacts.

I'm learning to become a woman who has enough space between the reaction and the response to choose consciously.

That space is where my freedom is growing. 🌿

What evidence are you giving the woman you're becoming?

I've been thinking about this question.

We often tell ourselves:

I want to be more confident.
I want to trust myself.
I want to stop being afraid.
I want to become more disciplined.

But wanting to change isn't the same as giving ourselves evidence that we have changed.

The woman I'm becoming needs to see me take action—even when the step is small.

She needs to see me make mistakes without deciding that I'm a failure.

She needs to see me receive difficult feedback and ask, “What can I learn from this?”

She needs to see me pause when my body becomes overwhelmed instead of forcing myself through everything.

She needs to see me trust myself.

Not trust that everything will work out exactly as I want.

Trust that I will meet whatever happens.

Maybe becoming isn't one dramatic transformation.

Maybe it's thousands of small moments where we behave differently from the person we used to believe we were.

Until one day, the new way doesn't feel new anymore.

It simply feels like us.

So here's today's question:

What evidence did you give the woman you're becoming today? 🌿

Why is it so much easier to forgive someone else than it is to forgive yourself?

I've been sitting with this question.

We can look at someone we love and say:

“It's okay. I understand. We all make mistakes.”

But when it's our own mistake, suddenly the compassion disappears.

We replay the moment.

We question our choices.

We imagine what we should have done differently.

And sometimes, what we call reflection quietly becomes self-punishment.

I'm learning that forgiving myself doesn't mean pretending I made the right choice.

It means I can acknowledge what happened.

Learn from it.

Take responsibility where I need to.

And then allow myself to move forward.

The woman I was then didn't have everything I know today.

She was doing the best she could with what she understood at the time.

She deserves grace too.

I don't want to spend the rest of my life punishing myself for a chapter I have already lived.

I want to learn from it.

I want to forgive her.

And I want to keep walking.

🌿

What would change for you if you gave yourself the same forgiveness you so easily give to others?

Maybe you don't want a new life.

Maybe you just want to wake up rested.

Have your tea quietly.

Sit outside for a few minutes before the demands of the day begin.

Go to work without feeling like you're carrying the whole world.

Come home with enough energy to take a walk.

Have dinner.

Laugh.

Watch something.

Sleep.

Nothing extraordinary.

And yet, for many of us, this kind of ordinary life can feel surprisingly far away.

I've been thinking about what it means to trust yourself.

For me, I'm beginning to realise that it doesn't necessarily mean making bigger decisions or changing everything around me.

Sometimes it means asking:

Does the life I'm living actually feel like mine?

And then having the courage to make small choices that bring me back to myself.

Perhaps healing isn't always about becoming someone new.

Perhaps sometimes it's simply about coming back to the woman who was already there.

What if doing well was never about getting everything right?

For a long time, I thought I knew what it meant to be doing well.

Work hard.
Succeed.
Meet expectations.
Don't fail.
Have it together.

It worked for me for many years.

Until I started doing things that had no blueprint.

My own ideas.
My own projects.
My own dreams.

Suddenly, there was no standard to follow and no one else to tell me whether I was doing it right.

And I realised something uncomfortable:

I had become very good at succeeding at things other people could measure, but I hadn't learned how to measure success for myself.

Today, my definition is changing.

I am doing well when I am making my own choices.

When I'm not going against my deepest desires just to meet someone else's expectations.

When I can hear my own voice.

When I can be playful.

When life feels lighter and what I'm doing feels natural rather than forced.

When I can make a mistake without turning against myself.

When something doesn't work, I can say:

Maybe next time.

And keep going.

Because I'm still here.

With a smile.

Maybe doing well isn't about proving that we're good enough.

Maybe it's about being ourselves while we're becoming.
