Just a little info for someone who did not knew...
Milk allergy and lactose intolerance are different conditions with distinct causes and symptoms.
Milk allergy is an immune system reaction to proteins found in milk, such as casein and whey. Symptoms can include hives, vomiting, difficulty breathing, and in severe cases, anaphylaxis.
Lactose intolerance, on the other hand, is the inability to digest lactose, the sugar found in milk. It occurs due to a deficiency of the enzyme lactase, which breaks down lactose in the digestive system. Symptoms often include bloating, gas, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
While both can cause gastrointestinal discomfort, milk allergy involves an immune system response, whereas lactose intolerance is a digestive issue. Testing and medical consultation can help differentiate between the two.
