Most women know that menopause affects hormones.

What many don’t realise is that it can also impact muscle mass, strength, and bone health.

That’s why I’m such a strong advocate for resistance training, adequate protein intake, and creating daily habits that support healthy ageing.

Getting enough protein in can be challenging, especially on busy days.

Most people know me as the weight-training girl, and strength training will always be a big part of my approach to health and longevity.

But sometimes the best thing you can do for your body is to change things up.

This week, instead of our usual weight sessions, we focused on HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) and bodyweight exercises. Not only is HIIT fantastic for cardiovascular health, but it also helps improve fitness, endurance, and overall conditioning.

After a challenging week of strength training, this was the perfect way to keep moving, challenge the body differently, and maintain balance in our training.

Fitness isn’t about doing the same workout every day—it’s about giving your body what it needs, when it needs it.

One month later… and the scale showed almost 3 kg up.

But here’s the interesting part: it wasn’t fat gain — it was muscle mass.

One thing Isabella always says after training here — this gym just gets it right.
