Cold or Flu? Know the Difference!
Not feeling your best? Here's a quick guide:
Flu:
• Comes on suddenly
• Fever, headaches, muscle aches
• Often leaves you too sick to carry on with daily activities
Cold:
• Develops gradually
• Mainly affects your nose and throat
• Usually mild enough to continue with normal activities
While most colds and flu improve on their own, complications can occur.
See your doctor if you experience:
✔️ Shortness of breath
✔️ Chest pain when breathing or coughing
✔️ Dizziness or confusion
✔️ Fever lasting more than 3 days
✔️ Symptoms that aren't improving
✔️ An underlying condition such as diabetes, heart, lung, or kidney disease
✔️ A weakened immune system
When in doubt, get checked out. Early assessment can help prevent complications and get you back to feeling your best.
