✨ Meet Dr. Bwalya T. Chalenga ✨
A compassionate medical doctor by profession, and a courageous preterm mother by experience — whose story is a radiant testament of faith, resilience, and hope.

She didn’t just study neonatal care in textbooks.
She lived it.

She didn’t just comfort anxious mothers in neonatal units.
She once was that mother — sitting beside an incubator, counting tiny breaths, praying over every heartbeat, hoping, believing, and trusting in God’s timing.

💜 She knows what it means to wait.
To wait for weight to increase.
To wait for oxygen to stabilize.
To wait for machines, tubes, and monitors to finally disappear.
To wait for the day you can finally hold your baby without wires and fear.

💜 She knows the loneliness, the fear, the silent tears.
The whispered prayers at 2am.
The moments scrolling through scripture to reassure herself that God sees her (Genesis 16:13).
The strength it takes to smile when your heart is trembling.
The unspoken war every preemie mother fights —
Between anxiety and hope.
Between fear and faith.

Today, Dr. Bwalya stands not only as a doctor, but as a voice of courage for preterm babies and their families.
She brings compassion into medicine, because she has felt the pain medicine alone cannot heal.
She reminds us that sometimes —
the strongest hearts beat inside the tiniest babies.

👶💪 Preemie mothers don’t wait for their babies to grow big to call them strong — they already know they are warriors, just in little bodies.

Her little girl — once born at just 1.4kg, fighting to breathe and fighting to live —
is now thriving, radiant, healthy, and full of wonder.
She is a miracle you can’t help but gaze upon. 😍💜

Having a supportive husband and loving family made the journey lighter, even when it felt heavy — a reminder that love, faith, and support make miracles easier to carry.

To all the Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, and Neonatal Care Teams working tirelessly to help premature babies win their battles —
Your work will never go unnoticed or unrewarded. 🌸
Special thanks to the Nchanga South Mine Hospital Paediatrics Team
(Dr. Kapembwa, Dr. Sanzia Suwi Nakaonga, Dr. Mpoyi)
and the amazing Labour Ward Doctors and Midwives —
Your kindness, skill, and heart helped save a life.

🌿 Do not be afraid, for God will strengthen you and your little one. (Isaiah 41:10)
🌿 Remember — God Sees You. (Genesis 16:13)

We gathered healthcare professionals, families, and champions of newborn care to stand together for the tiniest fighters—our preemies. 💪👶
We shared knowledge, hope, and innovations to strengthen neonatal care in Zambia. Every premature baby deserves a chance to survive, thrive, and shine. 🌟

We are grateful for Copperbelt Provincial Health Office and KCM Vedanta for the continued partnership and support!
