GENERAL MEDICAL OFFICER (2 Positions)
Job Purpose: To serve as a first-point-of-contact physician, responsible for the initial assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. The GMO will work collaboratively with our specialist consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of coordinated patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, examinations, and assessments. Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and stabilise emergency presentations. Provide ongoing care for chronic conditions and promote preventive health. Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, joint injections). Order and interpret diagnostic tests, formulating clear management plans. Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation. Facilitate appropriate specialist referrals and oversee inpatient handovers. Provide strong clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and junior staff. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) Minimum of 2-3 years of post-internship (JRMO) clinical experience, ideally in emergency medicine, acute care, or general practice. Prior private hospital experience is advantageous. Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) with a full registration and a valid practising license.
REGISTERED WIDWIFE (2 Positions)
Job Purpose: To provide high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based midwifery care to women, newborns, and families throughout pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postnatal period. The Registered Midwife will ensure safe motherhood practices, promote maternal and neonatal wellbeing, and uphold the highest standards of professional care in accordance with the guidelines of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) and Ministry of Health protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care services. Monitor and assess pregnant women during labour and delivery, ensuring safe and timely interventions. Conduct normal deliveries and assist in emergency obstetric procedures within scope of practice. Monitor fetal and maternal wellbeing before, during, and after delivery. Identify high-risk pregnancies and promptly refer cases requiring specialized medical attention. Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, and emergency interventions as indicated. Provide family planning, reproductive health education, and counselling services. Offer health education to mothers and families on nutrition, breastfeeding, immunization, hygiene, and newborn care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, deliveries, and outcomes. Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control standards. Participate in maternal and perinatal mortality reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Support emergency response in cases such as postpartum haemorrhage, eclampsia, obstructed labour, and neonatal distress. Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and professional ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better, including English Language. Diploma in Midwifery or Diploma in Nursing with Post-Basic Midwifery qualification. Bachelor of Science in Nursing / Midwifery will be an added advantage. Minimum of 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a hospital, maternity ward, labour ward, or reputable healthcare setting. Demonstrated competence in antenatal, labour, delivery, postnatal, and newborn care services. Good communication, interpersonal, and patient counselling skills. Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to obstetric emergencies. Computer literacy and ability to maintain electronic or manual patient records. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) and possess a valid practising licence.
REGISTERED NURSES (2 Positions)
Job Purpose To deliver exceptional, patient-centred care across various departments, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety in a modern private healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient treatment plans. Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapy with precision and in accordance with physician orders. Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to care, maintaining meticulous electronic health records. Assist physicians with clinical procedures and emergency interventions. Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols, health and safety regulations, and hospital policies. Provide empathetic patient education, counselling, and support to patients and their families. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and departmental meetings.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Diploma in Nursing Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical nursing experience. Experience in a private hospital or a specialised unit (e.g., ICU, Theatre, Maternity, NICU) is a strong advantage. Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) or other advanced certifications is highly desirable. Proven clinical competence, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English. Computer literacy and experience with hospital management systems. Member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) with a valid practising license.
PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (1 Position)
Job Purpose: To ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications, providing essential support to clinical teams in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Pharmacist in the accurate dispensing, labelling, and packaging of patient medications. Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation to minimise wastage and ensure availability. Prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical compounds and intravenous (IV) admixtures under supervision. Maintain accurate records of drug transactions, controlled substances, and patient profiles in compliance with regulations. Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems and other pharmacy technology. Provide excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter, offering clear instructions on medication use. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards, hospital protocols, and Zambian Pharmacy Regulations.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Diploma in Pharmacy Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Pharmacy Technologist. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, generic/brand name drugs, and pharmacy calculations. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ethical conduct. Computer literacy and experience with pharmacy software systems. Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) with a full registration and a valid practising license.
ACCOUNTANT (1 Position)
Job Purpose To manage the hospital’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management. Monitor and control hospital budgets, providing variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with Zambian tax regulations (ZRA) and other regulation bodies, financial reporting standards, and internal controls. Liaise with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process. Manage patient billing systems, insurance claims processing, and revenue cycle activities. Oversee inventory accounting for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Support departmental heads with cost analysis and financial planning. Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and processes.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA) are required. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the private sector, is preferred. Full membership of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Thorough knowledge of Zambian financial regulations, tax laws, and IFRS. Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. High integrity, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
FACILITY AND MAINTENANCE OFFICER (1 Position)
Job Purpose: To ensure the seamless operation, safety, and upkeep of the hospital’s physical infrastructure and equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of hospital buildings, grounds, and critical systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, medical gas, generator). Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations. Manage and coordinate external contractors for specialised repairs and projects, ensuring compliance with hospital standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimise service disruption. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., Zambia Environmental Management Agency, local building codes). Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and inventory of tools and spare parts. Supervise a team of maintenance assistants and custodial staff. Assist in managing energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste disposal programmes. Support hospital infection prevention protocols through effective facility management.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Building Sciences, Facility Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospital, clinic, hotel, or large commercial complex. Proven ability to read technical drawings and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Supervisory experience and strong organisational skills. Valid driver’s license.
ICT Officer (1 Position)
Job Purpose: To manage and support the hospital’s critical information and communication technology systems. Furthermore, the officer will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the hospital's digital infrastructure, directly supporting clinical operations and administrative functions in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to hospital staff, ensuring minimal downtime. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hospital systems, including the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), computers, servers, network equipment, and telecommunication systems. Ensure network security, data integrity, and compliance with patient data protection regulations. Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access controls. Perform regular system backups, updates, and preventive maintenance. Liaise with external vendors and service providers for specialised support and project implementation. Train staff on the effective use of ICT systems and new software applications. Document ICT procedures, inventory, and system configurations. Support the implementation of new digital health initiatives and technology upgrades.
Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on ICT support experience, with experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting being a strong advantage. Proven expertise in managing Windows-based networks, server administration, and database systems. Practical experience with HMIS/EHR software (e.g., SmartCare, ClinicMaster, or similar) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST (1 Position)
Job Purpose: To be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of our front desk and provides essential administrative support, contributing directly to our reputation for exceptional patient service.
Key Responsibilities: Greet patients, visitors, and vendors with warmth and professionalism, managing the main reception area. Handle all incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them appropriately. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the hospital management system. Register new patients, verify information, and ensure accurate data entry into electronic records. Manage patient check-ins/check-outs, handle cashiering duties, and provide receipts for payments. Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and managing office supplies. Coordinate internal meetings and manage meeting room bookings. Uphold strict patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies at all times. Assist with basic patient liaison and wayfinding within the hospital.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Diploma in Office Administration, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar front desk, receptionist, or administrative role. Experience in a private hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting is a strong advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and empathetic telephone manner.Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. Strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with a hospital management system or database is an added advantage. Professional appearance, impeccable organisational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. High level of discretion, integrity, and customer service orientation.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1 Position)
Job Purpose: To develop new partnerships, enhance the hospital service portfolio, and strengthen its brand presence to drive sustainable growth in the competitive Lusaka healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, including corporate health schemes, insurance partnerships, and institutional contracts. Conduct market research and analysis to understand trends, competitor activity, and potential for new medical services. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, insurance companies, medical brokers, and referring physicians. Develop and implement strategic marketing and promotional plans to increase patient volumes and service utilisation. Prepare professional proposals, presentations, and reports for potential clients and partners. Represent the hospital at industry events, networking forums, and health fairs. Collaborate with clinical departments to develop and launch new service lines or wellness packages. Monitor and report on business development KPIs, providing insights to hospital management.
Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with five (05) credits or better. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the private healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance sector in Zambia. Strong understanding of the Zambian healthcare landscape, including knowledge of medical insurance and corporate wellness programmes. Excellent networking, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM software). Valid driver’s license.
CLEANER (1 position)
Job Purpose: Hospital Cleaner ensures the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation and tidiness are maintained. You are essential for creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment for clients and employees. Key Responsibilities:Surface Cleaning: Dusting, wiping, and polishing furniture, fixtures, window sills, and light fittings.Floor Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming various floor types (carpet, hardwood, tile).Sanitization: Deep-cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas, restrooms, and kitchens to prevent the spread of germs.Waste Management: Emptying trash and recycling bins, replacing liners, and disposing of waste in designated areas.Supply Management: Monitoring inventory and restocking essential supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.Reporting: Identifying and notifying management of any hardware defects, safety hazards, or required repairs.
