Day 2 of the IDSR Evaluation Research Assistant Training focused on practical learning and hands-on exercises.

Participants strengthened their skills through questionnaire reviews, and electronic data collection exercises. These sessions are preparing the teams to collect accurate, reliable, and high-quality data during fieldwork across Zambia.

Together, we are building the capacity needed to support evidence-based improvements in disease surveillance and outbreak preparedness.

Day 1 of the Research Assistants Training for the Evaluation of the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) System in Zambia is underway.

The training has brought together data collectors and supervisors from across the country to build a shared understanding of the evaluation objectives, study methodology, data collection tools, ethical requirements, and quality assurance procedures. This marks an important step towards generating high-quality evidence to strengthen disease surveillance and public health response in Zambia.

We successfully concluded another Snakebite Management Training Course this past Friday and Saturday, facilitated by Marcel from Snake Safety Zambia. The course provided participants with practical, evidence based knowledge in snake identification, snakebite prevention, first aid, and clinical management, equipping them to respond confidently and effectively to snakebite emergencies.
