💔 CHIPATA STUDENT ALLEGEDLY TAKES OWN LIFE AFTER PREGNANCY DISPUTE

A second-year student at Chipata Trades Training Institute, Daniel Kumwenda of Chama District, has allegedly died by su***de after reportedly drinking a poisonous substance.

Police say a note believed to have been left by the student stated that he was distressed after his pregnant girlfriend reportedly wanted to terminate the pregnancy, a decision he opposed. The note also indicated that the situation had affected his studies.

He was found unconscious in his room by a lecturer and was rushed to the institute clinic before being referred to Chipata Central Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two empty bottles believed to have contained poisonous substances were recovered from the scene.

Police say no foul play is suspected, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
