Nangoma Mission Hospital proudly took part in the Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy exercise, with strong support from the District Health Office and Mumbwa Town Council, actively contributing to efforts aimed at promoting a cleaner environment and improving public health within the community. The Hospital encourages all residents to join this important initiative held every Friday from 07:30 to 09:00 hours. Your participation helps create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Nangoma for everyone. Let's work together to keep our town clean, green, and healthy. 🌿😊

Managing waste in a hospital isn't just about taking out the trash, it’s a high-stakes logistics operation where a mistake can lead to environmental hazards or accidental infections. Because hospital waste ranges from harmless office paper to radioactive isotopes, the approach must be systematic and rigorous.

It is for this reason the Environmental Health team today through Mr Kasichila Simwanza presented on Waste Management in regards to Infection Prevention (IPC).

An emphasis on the "Keep Zambia Clean" was made and all staffs adhered to working on it and the roll out is to start on Wednesday 25th February 2026.
