Every scaffold tells a story β€” you just need to read the tag.

🟒 Green Tag – Safe for use.
🟑 Yellow Tag – Use with restrictions.
πŸ”΄ Red Tag – Unsafe. Do NOT use.

Before stepping onto any scaffold, always check the tag.

One quick look can prevent a serious fall.
Safety isn’t optional β€” it’s your responsibility

⚑ Electricity is invisible β€” but its consequences are very real.

One small electric current passing through the human body can cause muscle lock, severe burns, cardiac arrest, or death within seconds.

Many people fear voltage.
But in reality:

⚠️ Current is what kills.

The danger increases dramatically when body resistance becomes lower:
πŸ’§ Wet skin
🩸 Open wounds
πŸ›  Poor insulation
⚑ Faulty grounding

That’s why electrical safety is critical in every workplace and home environment.

🦺 Essential electrical safety practices:
βœ” Proper earthing/grounding
βœ” Use RCCB/ELCB protection devices
βœ” Keep hands dry when handling equipment
βœ” Wear insulated PPE and gloves
βœ” Switch OFF and isolate power before work
βœ” Never bypass electrical safety systems

AC and DC both present serious hazards, but alternating current (AC) at common industrial frequencies can cause dangerous muscle locking and prevent victims from letting go.

Electricity gives no warning before injury happens.

Respect energy.
Follow procedures.
Protect lives.

⚠️ Low resistance = higher current = higher risk.

How Much Distance Is Required Between Excavation and Heavy Equipment? (OSHA Guidance)

Original content by Safety Master.
Please share but do not copy.

βœ… Explanation
OSHA does not provide one fixed distance that applies to every excavation and every piece of equipment.

The safe distance depends on:
πŸ‘‰ Soil type
πŸ‘‰ Excavation depth
πŸ‘‰ Equipment weight
πŸ‘‰ Ground condition

πŸ“˜ Common Site Practice
Heavy equipment should be kept far enough from the excavation edge so that its weight does not cause:

πŸ‘‰ Cave-in
πŸ‘‰ Edge collapse
πŸ‘‰ Equipment overturning

A commonly used minimum practice is:
βœ” Keep heavy equipment at least 2 feet (0.6 m) from the excavation edge, and often much farther depending on engineering assessment.

πŸ— Example
πŸ‘‰ An excavator is working near a 3-meter trench.
The supervisor ensures:
βœ” Equipment remains away from the edge.
βœ” Soil stability is checked.
This reduces collapse risk.

⚠ Important Point
πŸ‘‰ The deeper the excavation and the heavier the equipment, the greater the required setback distance.

πŸ’‘ Easy Interview Line
πŸ‘‰ Heavy equipment should be kept a safe distance from excavation edges to prevent cave-ins and equipment overturning, with distance determined by soil conditions and risk assessment.
