This is one of the very first ragas I learned - and to this day, one of my absolute favourites.

Raga Bhairavi carries the feeling of longing for something beyond words.
It is the sound of a heart searching for truth, for home, for love, for the Divine.
Its darkness is like the last moments before sunrise.

Bhairavi invites you to turn inward and embrace the parts of yourself that are often left unseen.
It is a raga of vulnerability, devotion, surrender, and deep emotional honesty.

P S - Bhairavi also means Parvati ✨

Ah 🙂 For a long time, I haven’t shared my singing here.

So I’ve decided to come back with this joyful Shiva bhajan. 🔱📿

I remember when I was living in Varanasi, I would wake up every morning and sing this bhajan out loud from my window 😁📢

And as people passed by, they would always answer with a loud Har Har Mahadev!

A simple prayer to Lord Shiva for another beautiful morning, another day of life, and the joy of being alive.

This really brings me back to those sacred mornings by the Ganges, when devotion felt as natural as breathing 🪷
