🌙 When & How to Take Your Supplements During Ramadan 🌙
Taking supplements during Ramadan can get tricky as meal timings change and sleep routines shift. All of this can make sticking to your usual supplements feel impossible, or require a whole new routine 😅.

That’s why I created this quick guide to show you how to take the most common supplements, without disrupting your sleep so your body can absorb and use them better.

1️⃣Vitamin D
⏰️ With your Iftar meal that contains healthy fats, or with Suhoor if you’ll be starting your day right after.
💡Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so dietary fat helps improve its absorption. Taking it late at night may interfere with sleep.

2️⃣Magnesium
⏰️30–60 minutes before your main sleep. Pair it with relaxing herbal teas for a stronger calming effect 🍵. Avoid high-dose calcium supplements at the same time.
💡Magnesium supports GABA activity, helping improve sleep quality. High-dose calcium can reduce its absorption.

3️⃣CoQ10
⏰️ With Iftar (or Suhoor only if you stay awake after), ideally with healthy fats.
💡CoQ10 is a fat-soluble compound, so fats improve its absorption and bioavailability. Avoid taking it right before bed, as it can feel energizing.

4️⃣Vitamin B12
⏰️ With or just after Iftar, or Suhoor if you stay awake after. Take it as far from bedtime as possible.
💡B12 supports energy metabolism and may feel stimulating if taken too late ⚡

5️⃣Calcium
⏰️ With Iftar or Suhoor, preferably with a meal containing protein. Avoid taking it at the same time as iron or zinc.
💡Calcium competes with other minerals for absorption. Protein helps improve uptake 🥛

6️⃣Omega-3 (EPA & DHA)
⏰️ With Iftar, paired with fat-rich foods. Avoid taking it with soda or coffee.
💡Fat improves absorption and helps reduce fishy reflux 🐟

7️⃣Iron
⏰️ 1–2 hours after Iftar, or with a vitamin C–rich snack 🍊. Avoid dairy, coffee, tea, or calcium at the same time.
💡 Vitamin C improves absorption, while calcium and polyphenols reduce its uptake ⚡

💚 7 Effective Tips to Reverse Fatty Liver (NAFLD)! 💚

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is surprisingly common today, affecting nearly 1 in 3 adults worldwide. It’s strongly linked to our modern lifestyle: higher stress, metabolic imbalances, ultra-processed foods, and low daily movement.

The good news? Your liver is super resilient. Just give it the right habits and it starts bouncing back. 🤩

These 7 tips don’t just help reverse fatty liver, they’re amazing for prevention and keeping your metabolism happy long-term.

✅ Cut unhealthy fats:
Trans fats and excess omega-6 fats promote inflammation and oxidative stress, which accelerates fat buildup inside liver cells. Reducing them helps restore healthy liver function.

✅ Add more omega-3 fatty acids:
Omega-3s (EPA & DHA) help shift the body toward an anti-inflammatory state, reduce liver fat accumulation, and improve triglycerides and insulin sensitivity.

✅ Avoid high-fructose foods:
Fructose is metabolized directly by the liver, and excess amounts from sodas, sweets, and
fruit juices can drive fat storage and fibrosis over time. Choosing whole fruits instead is far
safer.
✅ Go for low-glycemic foods:
Low-GI foods help stabilize glucose and insulin levels, two major drivers of fatty liver. Balanced blood sugar means less fat pushed into the liver and better metabolic control.

✅ Add more cardio to your workout routine:
Cardio boosts fat oxidation, improves insulin sensitivity, and helps reduce visceral fat (the type most strongly linked to fatty liver). Aim for 30 minutes of moderate movement on most days.

✅ Reduce red meat:
High-saturated-fat meats can contribute to hepatic fat storage. Swapping for skinless
chicken, fish, eggs, or plant proteins reduces inflammatory burden and supports liver repair.
✅ Drink coffee:
Coffee contains powerful bioactive compounds like cafestol and kahweol, which support liver detoxification pathways, reduce inflammation, and may even protect against fibrosis.
