You can be an Oscar-nominated actor; the face of one of the most prolific and highest-grossing action-movie series in history; a well-regarded theater actor, and still suffer from imposter syndrome.

In his recent commencement address at Ball State University, Hugh Jackman () urged graduates to trust their gut, embrace uncertainty, and understand that "failures" are often disguised opportunities.

He shared that his own career path was non-linear, emphasizing that inner intuition is a better guide than a perfect plan.

You can't make everyone happy.

There will always be enemies.

If you've ever said "yes" when you meant "no," worried more about someone else's comfort than your own, it’s exhilarating and you know it.

Most people assume people-pleasing is just being nice all the time. But it’s also constantly putting everyone else's needs above yours, internalizing their emotions, and running on empty.

Kristen Bell () is working on it. And so can you. Start with setting small boundaries. Start with low-stakes situations to build your "no" muscle.

Remember: disappointing someone isn't the same as hurting them. Put even 10% of that caring energy back into yourself.

It took Meryl Streep 56 years to learn she could double her ask. And she'd already won two Oscars by then.

So whatever version of 'I'm not ready to ask for more' you're telling yourself, that's probably not the truth.

It's never too late to know what you're worth and ask for what you deserve.

Michael Phelps' () combined winning margin across 6-7 of his medals is less than half a second. 🤯

Those medals were won on the days he didn't want to show up.

He shares how he swam every single day for 6 straight years. Sundays. Holidays. Bad days. Sick days. The days after failing a test. The days he couldn't get out of bed.

It’s the days you show up when you don't want to that actually count.

So whatever you're working toward right now, your goal doesn't need perfect conditions. It doesn't need you to feel motivated. It just needs you to show up today. That's the whole secret. 🏅

Oversharing, posting your feelings on social media, is just broadcasting your emotions. It’s not vulnerability.

Simon Sinek () explains how vulnerability happens privately. It happens when you allow someone to help you. It happens when you let someone in. It happens when you’re brave enough to show you need someone to help you do a job when you’re feeling lost.

Watch him explain why being vulnerable is difficult.

When Shonda Rhimes () says women need to brag more, she isn’t asking you to become arrogant. She’s asking you to stop shrinking.

Somewhere along the way, many women were taught that if we work hard enough, someone will notice. But the loudest voice in the room isn’t always the most capable, just the most comfortable claiming space.

So claim yours. Say the thing you did. Own the result you drove. Mention the risk you took. Your achievements don’t become less meaningful because you speak them out loud.

Bragging, done right, is not ego. And the world can’t reward what it doesn’t see.

Are you worried about how people perceive you?

Kate Winslet shared a powerful insight in a recent interview. She revealed she doesn't worry about what people think of her, but she cares about how she makes people feel.

So keep staying real, stay empathetic and choose yourself every day instead of trying to be someone you arent. 💯
