Two people the same age can look years apart.

The reasons are rarely single. Bone structure, skin thickness and the way facial fat sits are inherited, and they set the starting point. Beneath the surface, collagen and elastin production slows and tissue repair declines, at a pace that differs in every person. Sun, smoking, nutrition, sleep and repeated weight change accelerate or slow all of it. Illness, medication and hormonal or metabolic conditions can accelerate it further.
