The M.Y.T.E programme (MYTE stands for 'manage your thoughts and emotions') has been developed to support children with their mental and emotional health. Studies have shown that 2.4 million children, aged 6 - 11 (9.6%) and 3.3 million (13.6%), aged 12 – 16, have been diagnosed with ADHD. And multiple more children are suffering with anxiety and depression. Drugs are prescribed to children for the

se aliments... but we’re yet to understand how these medications could affect children as they age. What we do know is that as children grow their early emotional experiences become embedded in the structure of their brain, and suppressed negative emotional experiences, leads on to health problems later in life, such as anxiety and depression. A child's brain continues to develop and change into adulthood, however, the first 7 years of brain development builds the foundation for future learning, health and success. Introducing the M.Y.T.E programme....

A programme created to provide children with some simple, yet effective tools and techniques, (things they can do in the moment), to manage their emotions so they feel better in themselves. "Using the tools and techniques in the M.Y.T.E programme, a child's confidence and self-esteem will grow. They will learn how to better manage their thoughts and feelings, and it will help them to believe in themselves and their abilities, now and in the future." - M.Y.T.E Mission

I had the privilege of sitting down with our M.Y.T.E Student Leaders at GEMS Founders Dubai South.

Listening to their thoughts, ideas and experiences reminded me of something very important. When children are given a voice, incredible things happen.

Leadership isn’t something that appears overnight.
It grows when young people feel heard, respected and supported.

Moments like this are exactly why M.Y.T.E exists.

To help children understand themselves, express their emotions and develop the confidence to lead.

The future is in good hands. Watch this space, so much more to come…👀

Happy New Year & welcome back!

We hope everyone had a restful break and is stepping into the new term feeling refreshed and ready.

You may have noticed we’ve been a little quieter over the past few weeks…

Not because we paused, but because we’ve been building.

Behind the scenes, something very special has been taking shape.

Alongside that, we’ve been preparing to bring M.Y.T.E into another school, and the energy for what’s ahead is incredible.

The past few years have been about laying foundations.
Listening. Learning. Growing.
Now, it’s time to level up.

2026 is about to go MIGHTY.

The impact we’re creating for children this year is going to be profound, deeper emotional awareness, stronger resilience, and tools that stay with them for life.

Learning the M.Y.T.E tools is just the beginning…
Using them, again and again, is where the transformation truly begins.

Children don’t grow emotionally strong overnight.
They grow through small moments repeated daily:

✨ a calm breath before reacting
✨ a hand on the heart to feel grounded
✨ a tapping routine to release worry
✨ a movement break to lift their mood

Every little practice adds up.
Every repetition strengthens the brain.
Every tool used becomes easier the next time.

Consistency turns tools into habits.
Habits turn into emotional strength.
Emotional strength becomes a superpower they’ll carry for life.

This is why M.Y.T.E is more than a programme, it’s a lifestyle.

Today’s MOVE Tool session said it all.

Students moving with energy.
Teachers joining in with passion.
Smiles everywhere and the whole room buzzing with connection, confidence, and joy.

This isn’t just an activity.
This isn’t just a moment.
This is M.Y.T.E becoming part of the school’s DNA, a culture shift in real time.

Every jump, every stretch, every burst of movement is doing more than warming up bodies…

It’s resetting minds.
It’s releasing stress.
