How Laser Hair Removal Works

Laser energy is delivered to the hair follicle, where it is converted into heat to help reduce hair growth. At Aestheticon in Dubai, our dual-wavelength system combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers, and the appropriate wavelength is chosen according to your skin tone, hair colour, and hair thickness.

Hair grows in cycles, which is one reason treatment is planned across several sessions rather than one. Before starting, a consultation allows the team to review your skin type, hair characteristics, and medical history, and to talk through what to expect, including possible side effects and aftercare.

Every patient is different, so the number of sessions and the approach are agreed individually.

Aestheticon founder Dr. Afschin Ghofrani took part in Plastic Surgery Capri 2026 in Italy as an invited speaker, at the invitation of the organisers, AIRMESS, the Academy of International Regenerative Medicine and Surgery Society.

His presentation, “Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty With Composite Mid-face Lift”, was followed by an engaging exchange with fellow attendees. Our thanks go to the organising committee.
