Rasika is kidsFIRST's voice specialist. She completed her master's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology in 2013 at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. With experience in both public and private health care, Rasika assesses and provides speech-language therapy to children with a diverse range of challenges, including language delays, auditory processing disorders, apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering or cluttering, dysarthria, and hypernasality.
Rasika has a deep understanding of voice-related problems from her training and experience working with children/adolescents with vocal nodules, muscle tension dysphonia, puberphonia, and adults with vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, sulcus vocalis, vocal nodules, and other dysphonias.
In addition to Rasika’s clinical work, she has published research in peer-reviewed international journals (Karulkar & Gunjawate, 2021; Karulkar et al., 2020, 2022, 2023; Waknis et al., 2017). She firmly believes in collaborative efforts, working closely with parents, family members, and other multidisciplinary team members to address children's holistic needs and empower them to reach their full potential.
