This is a perfect example of what "Health Matters" does. The important fact that must not be lost here is that, generally speaking doctors don't have training in exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, physical activity or adapted physical activity and the university trained clinical exercise physiologist, not the personal trainer, is precisely trained for that. I will add that the personal trainer plays critical role for the seemingly healthy population.

Evidence such as this one is overwhelmingly abundant not just for cancer, but also for heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, metabolic syndrome, obesity and many more chronic conditions.

A group of Australian cancer experts release a world-first statement calling for exercise to be prescribed to all cancer patients, saying the evidence of its benefits is indisputable.

Every little bit counts whether you do it on your own or with a professional. Having said that, always keep in mind that there are specific types of exercises and intensities that have been shown through research to help with specific chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, etc...)

Researchers created a study to learn more about how much exercise older adults are able to perform, and how that exercise affects their health. The research team studied 6,489 female participants aged 63 to 99 years old.
