Chronic pain after the surgery? Let’s try to explain that!

Chronic neck and shoulder pain. What can be the root cause?

We were able to take down 50% of a chronic neck and shoulder pain by addressing this one thing. Soon, I will share what we had to do to get 100%.

Sciatica like pain can have little to do with any compression of the sciatic nerve.

In this case, the patient suffered from the pain in the leg. The scans couldn’t clearly pinpoint the exact reason for the pain.

Through the examination we found that this patients left hamstrings were taking part in the compensation for the right clavicle were he had a fracture in the past.

After improving the quality of the movement around the clavicle and reassuring the nervous system that everything is fine there, the compensation dropped and the symptoms of the patient improved significantly.

Another low back pain cause by the scar!

I will share enough success stories until everyone belive: scars are important!

Even an old fracture can be worth looking at!

This patient had a long lasting issue with his hamstrings. They were constantly stiff, occasionally causing pain.

It turned out that it was a protective mechanism for his ankle. It’s function was far from perfect due to the injury in the past.

Clearing the issues around the ankle led to the significant improvement in this patients hamstrings.

Tattoos are one of the most commonly missed root causes of chronic pain.
Because of the way tattoos are created, the underlying tissues can become rigid, preventing high-quality fascial gliding. Furthermore, the nervous system often attempts to „protect” or avoid the perceived injured area, leading to compensatory movements that can cause pain in even distant regions of the body.
While not every tattoo causes an issue, if you suffer from chronic pain that began after getting inked—or if you’ve started experiencing injuries „out of nowhere”—it is a good idea to have your tattoos assessed.

Massage vs. Fascial Manipulation

Regular massage is effective for calming the nervous system and improving circulation, but it is not very efficient at breaking down adhesions.

To release adhesions—often composed largely of hyaluronic acid—we need to generate significant friction. Concentrated movement in a specific spot, along with the heat it produces, can help reduce densification and restore proper tissue gliding.

During my recent trip to Italy, I passed the certification exam to become a licensed Fascial Manipulation practitioner — the first in the GCC!

For those who don’t know, Fascial Manipulation is the main model I use in my practice. It’s an evidence-based approach that has proven highly effective in treating both chronic and acute pain through manual therapy — specifically, the manipulation of the fascia. This method connects past injuries, surgeries, and overuse to current symptoms in a logical and traceable way.

I realized the significance of this approach when I saw how many therapists — even those with osteopathy degrees and multiple manual therapy certifications — eventually adopted Fascial Manipulation as the core of their work after being exposed to it.

The same happened to me. Although I hold several other certifications, I can confidently say that FM makes up about 70% of what I do. From now on, I’ll do my best to represent the institute as well as I can.

It’s been a long journey — I began my training in 2022. And it’s not over yet! There are still several workshops I’m eager to complete with them. I can’t wait!
