This is how self doubt begins
Emotional neglect is not always about what happened.
Sometimes it is about what was missing.
The comfort that never came.
The affection that felt inconsistent.
The apology that was never given.
The emotional safety the child needed but did not receive.
Because children depend on their caregivers for survival, their brain often protects the attachment by blaming themselves.
Instead of thinking, “My parent was emotionally unavailable,” the child may think, “I must be difficult, unlovable, needy, or too much.”
That belief can become a core wound in adulthood.
It may show up as low self-worth, people-pleasing, fear of rejection, over-explaining, perfectionism, or accepting less love than you deserve.
I hope you know you are worthy
I hope you stop self dpubting
Get on your journey
Love and gratitude
