World Drowning Prevention Day: Better Training Saves Lives.
Every year, more than 300,000 people lose their lives to drowning. While global progress has been made, there's still much more we can do.
This World Drowning Prevention Day (25 July), the theme is "Unite to Turn the Tide"—a reminder that preventing drowning is a shared responsibility. From lifeguards and search & rescue teams to fire & rescue services and water rescue specialists, realistic, effective training plays a vital role in preparing responders for the moments that matter most.
