Since our journey began in 1980, our goal has remained the same – to bring better healthcare and a brighter future to families across the globe. And in less than 40 years, we have expanded our network across the Middle East and Africa to become one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the region. Headquartered in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, we employ 3,400 people, and we market our products in more than 30 countries. We have 12 internationally accredited facilities that produce more than half a million medicine boxes a day, including tablets, syrups, suspensions, creams and injectables, and vaccines. Julphar has an extensive portfolio of generic medicines, branded generics, and over-the-counter medicines, as well as APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients). We develop and manufacture medicines and supplements for everything from the common cold to diabetes.

Julphar welcomed a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), headed by Her Excellency Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Deputy Director General for Regulatory and Administrative Affairs, accompanied by a specialized team, on a visit to the company’s headquarters in Ras Al Khaimah that included a series of discussions and on-site tours.

The visit featured a specialized discussion session, during which both sides exchanged insights and perspectives on Julphar’s operational framework and the technical aspects of its operations. The delegation was also introduced to the systems and rigorous procedures required by the pharmaceutical industry across various stages of operation, providing an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of processes within a specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and to explore areas of mutual interest and opportunities for future collaboration between both sides.

The Authority’s specialists also gained first-hand insight into Julphar’s manufacturing operations and the production stages followed across the company’s facilities.

Such strategic visits provide a direct platform for engagement among specialists, facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge between national institutions, and help identify areas that can contribute to the advancement of technical practices.

جلفار وغرفة رأس الخيمة تستكشفان آفاقاً جديدة للتعاون الصناعي

استقبلت شركة الخليج للصناعات الدوائية – جلفار, في مقرها اليوم وفداً من غرفة تجارة وصناعة رأس الخيمة، بحضور الدكتور راشد خلفان النعيمي، المدير العام للغرفة، والدكتور باسل زيادة، الرئيس التنفيذي لجلفار.

وتضمنت الزيارة نقاشات حول قطاع التصنيع، وسبل تعزيز التعاون، ودور القطاع الصناعي في دعم مسيرة التنمية الاقتصادية في الدولة، إلى جانب بحث الفرص التي تسهم في تطوير التعاون وتبادل الخبرات.

كما شملت الزيارة جولة في أحد مصانع جلفار، اطلع خلالها الوفد على جانب من عمليات الشركة وبيئة التصنيع الدوائي.

وتسهم مثل هذه اللقاءات في تعزيز التواصل بين مؤسسات الإمارة والقطاع الصناعي، وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون بما يدعم تطور الصناعة ومكانة رأس الخيمة كمركز حيوي للأعمال والتصنيع.

Julphar welcomed a delegation from Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to its headquarter in Ras Al Khaimah, in the presence of Dr. Rashed Khalfan Al Neaimi, Director General of the Chamber, and Dr. Basel Ziyadeh, Chief Executive Officer of Julphar.

The visit featured discussions on the manufacturing sector, opportunities to strengthen collaboration, and the role of the industrial sector in supporting the country’s economic development, alongside exploring opportunities for further cooperation and knowledge exchange.

The visit also included a tour at one of Julphar’s manufacturing facilities, where the delegation gained an overview of the company’s operations and pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Such engagements help strengthen connections between the Emirate’s institutions and the industrial sector, while opening new avenues for collaboration that support industrial development and Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a dynamic hub for business and manufacturing.

Julphar recently welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE), led by Dr. Shaikha Al Mazrouei, Director of Reference National Laboratory, Drug Department at EDE, with the presence of senior representatives from the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), Tanja Elisabeth Rohark and Christian Woelbeling, with the participation of teams from both EDE and Julphar.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on Pharma 4.0™ and the transformation shaping the pharmaceutical industry. Conversations explored how digitalization can support meaningful advances across pharmaceutical manufacturing, from stronger quality and regulatory compliance to greater operational efficiency. A tour of Julphar’s manufacturing site complemented the discussions with a closer look at the processes, systems, and environment behind our operations.

We thank EDE for the opportunity to showcase Julphar’s technical capabilities and engage in valuable discussions with regulatory and industry experts. Day 1 of DUPHAT 2026 concluded on a strong note, bringing together industry leaders, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders from across the pharmaceutical sector.

The opening day featured a high-level visit to Julphar’s stand, providing an opportunity for valuable engagement and discussions around the evolving pharmaceutical landscape and the role of local manufacturing in supporting the sector’s continued development.

Julphar also participated in the UAE Pharma Manufacturers Forum as part of the Pharma Industry Talks, joining industry representatives in a focused discussion on the pharmaceutical sector, its priorities, and the advancement of pharmaceutical manufacturing in the UAE.
