Building on the success of the paediatrics and surgery conferences, preparations are underway for the 3rd Annual NMC Medical Conference, which will focus on women’s health.

The upcoming conference will bring together multidisciplinary experts to explore emerging evidence, clinical innovation and integrated models of care across the different stages of a woman’s life. It will continue the series’ emphasis on scientific exchange, multidisciplinary learning and the translation of evidence into better patient outcomes.

Breast cancer is distinguished by the abnormal and unchecked proliferation of breast cells, which manifests as a lump or mass. A breast tumour can begin in any part of the breast. The breast consists primarily of lobules, ducts, and connective tissue. In the case of breast cancer, metastases can occur if malignant cells spread to the lymph nodes or elsewhere. Breast cancer typically takes the form of invasive ductal carcinoma or invasive lobular carcinoma.

Breast cancer is a deadly disease that affects women all over the world; hence, October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, or Pink Month. During this month, people are encouraged to learn the warning symptoms of breast cancer, which can help in early detection.



يكون سرطان الثدي على شكل تضاعف غير طبيعي لخلايا الثدي، ويظهر على شكل كتلة أو نتوء، يتكون الثدي من الفصيصات والقنوات والأنسجة الضامة، قد يبدأ ظهور الورم في أي جزء من هذه الأجزاء، في حالة سرطان الثدي قد تحدث هجرة الخلايا السرطانية عند انتشار الخلايا الخبيثة إلى العقد اللمفاوية أو أجزاء أخرى. يأخذ سرطان الثدي عادة شكل سرطان الأقنية الغازية أو سرطان الفصيصات الغازية.

تم تحديد شهر أكتوبر ليكون شهر التوعية بسرطان الثدي أو الشهر الوردي، يتم التوعية في هذا الشهر حول عوامل الخطر والأعراض المبدئية لتسهيل الكشف عن المرض.

Physical therapists can help those who have lost mobility and function due to an injury, illness, or disability by means of physical therapy (PT) or physiotherapy. The avoidance of injuries and diseases is an added bonus. It's patient-centred, so the individual receiving care has input into its development.

The goal of World Physiotherapy Day 2023 is to raise awareness about arthritis and the important role physiotherapists play in its prevention and management. This includes inflammatory forms of arthritis like rheumatoid arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis.



يستطيع أخصائيو العلاج الطبيعي مساعدة المرضى الذين فقدو القدرة على الحركة أو بعض الوظائف بسبب الإصابة أو المرض أو الإعاقة بواسطة العلاج الطبيعي أو الفيزيائي، كمان يعملون أيضاً على تجنب الإصابات والأمراض، يتمحور العلاج الطبيعي حول المريض ليكون كل علاج مخصصاً لكل حالة.

يهدف اليوم العالمي للعلاج الطبيعي في عام 2023 على زيادة الوعي بمرض التهاب المفاصل وأهمية الدور الذي يلعبه أخصائيو العلاج الطبيعي في الوقاية والعلاج، ليشمل ذلك التهابات المفاصل والروماتيزم والالتهاب الفقاري المفصلي اللاصق.
