Life can feel random. But what if we look closer?

Across Advaita Vedanta, Traditional Chinese Medicine, karma and Hermetic philosophy, different traditions have developed their own ways of understanding the patterns beneath our experience.

In her new essay, Erika explores where these maps unexpectedly meet without pretending they are the same.

Read “The Pattern Beneath the Chaos” on the Manas Journal.

Just 5 months ago, this space was empty. White walls, quiet rooms, and an idea of what it could become.

Today, it’s Manas 🤎

A yoga studio, yes, but also a third space. Somewhere between home and work where you can arrive as you are, practice, have a cup of tea, stay for a conversation, or simply take a little more time before stepping back into the city.

Every detail has slowly found its place. Not just to make the studio beautiful, but to create a space that feels warm, lived-in, and welcoming to different people, bodies, and ways of being.
More than a place to practice.

A place to spend time, reconnect, and belong.

Come find us in the heart of Vienna at Schulerstraße 1–3/24a, 1010 Wien.

Plot twist 🌀

Marta has stepped back from Module 2, so I’m teaching Yoga Philosophy, History & Ethics myself this November, and I couldn’t be more excited.

📚 Over 50 hours we go from the ancient roots of yoga through the Vedas and Upaniṣads to Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtra. Then we ask the hard questions: whose voices shaped the yoga we practice today, and what does ethical practice look like now?

We study it through the Manas lens: Advaita Vedanta, decolonized practice, and yoga that is accessible to everyone.

⏳ 50 hours: 36 contact + 14 non-contact
🗓 Contact weekends: 7–8, 14–15 & 28–29 November 2026
📖 Non-contact weekend: 21–22 November (self-study & assignments)
⏰ Sat 13:00–20:00 · Sun 9:00–16:00
📍 Manas Yoga Vienna, Schulerstraße 1–3, 1010 Wien
💶 €1,050 · payment plans available

Years before Manas existed, Erika was practicing with Talia Sutra in New York. Her teaching stayed with her through different cities, different chapters, and eventually, the creation of Manas.

Now, years later, that journey comes full circle.

On February 13–14, 2027, we’re welcoming Talia to Manas for a full weekend of philosophy, practice, Bhakti, and community.

This one means a lot to us 🤎

Tickets are now available. Get yours via the link in bio.

Every Monday evening, Tomas guides Candlelit Yin & Restore — a quiet practice combining fluid, somatic movement with longer-held Yin and restorative postures.

With bolsters, blankets, and props for support, there is space to move gently, settle into stillness, and follow breath and sensation without needing to achieve anything.

A softer way to close the day, surrounded by candlelight.

Candlelit Yin & Restore with Tomas
Every Monday, 17:45, at Manas.

Some invitations take years to make.

Erika first practised with Talia Sutra in New York, years before Manas existed. Through moves, different chapters of life, and eventually the creation of Manas in Vienna, Talia’s teaching remained part of her own practice.

In February 2027, that connection comes full circle. We’re welcoming Talia Sutra to Manas for a full weekend of philosophy, movement, Bhakti and practice.

Did you know that not every class at Manas is centered around asana?

Yoga can also be an invitation to sit, breathe, listen, and explore what happens when movement becomes quieter.

With Adrián, you can explore two weekly practices that bring meditation, mindfulness, and pranayama into focus:

🧘 Yoga & Meditation: Beyond the Asanas
Tuesdays · 19:15–19:45
A quiet 30-minute pause to settle and reconnect. Each week explores an accessible meditation practice, from mindfulness and loving-kindness to chakra meditation. Come between asana classes or simply join for the meditation itself.

🧘 Pranayama & Meditation with Adrián
Thursdays · 8:00–9:00
A grounded morning practice beginning with gentle movement, followed by classical pranayama and seated meditation. Supportive alternatives are always available if sitting isn’t comfortable or accessible.

Both classes are open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners. No previous meditation or pranayama experience is needed.

Explore another side of yoga with Adrián at Manas.

Nervous system regulation is everywhere right now. But how new are the practices behind it?

Erika looks at where modern neuroscience, yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine overlap — where they don’t — and what can get lost when old practices are given a new vocabulary.

Learn with Erika — Part 2.

Five more ways to go deeper in 2027 — through fascia, hands-on bodywork, Ashtanga, inversions, and the history and ethics of yoga.

These trainings are for practitioners and teachers who want to understand more than what we do: how the body works, where our practices come from, how to teach them responsibly, and why the details matter.

Explore:

Self Myofascial Release · May 17–21
Thai Yoga Massage · June 26–July 4
Ashtanga Vinyasa Deep Dive · October 2–24
Inversions, Arm Balances & Peak Poses · November 13–December 5
Roots & Reckoning: History, Ethics & Decolonization of Yoga · December 2027 / January 2028

Each can be taken as a standalone continuing education training. And for those looking for a longer path, Manas also offers modular 200HR, 300HR and 500HR Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Meet Yvonne 🤍

For Yvonne, yoga is both a challenge and a haven of peace — and that balance shapes the way she teaches.

Creating a space where people feel comfortable, welcome, and safe is especially important to her. She loves accompanying students in their practice, whether they’re taking their first steps in yoga or have been practising for years.

She’s also a big fan of yoga props and regularly uses them to offer support, create different ways into a pose, and make the practice work for different bodies and needs.

Practice with Yvonne at Manas:

🔸 Tuesdays
Vinyasa Flow, 16:30
Yin Yoga, 17:45

🔹 Thursdays
Pilates Mat, 16:15
Flow to Yin, 17:30
