New Alzheimer’s treatments: what the therapy actually looks like 🧠
Univ.-Doz. Dr. Udo Zifko — neurologist, psychiatrist and Head of the Memory Center — explains how the two new, highly specific drugs are given.
Treatment is delivered by infusion: one drug twice a month, the other once a month, over 18 months, with follow-up examinations in between. Infusions take place in a day-clinic setting with 2–3 hours of medical monitoring, and according to the doctor they are very well tolerated.
