EU SCREENING WEEK | 28 SEPTEMBER – 4 OCTOBER 2026

This week, Europe is putting prevention, screening and early detection in the spotlight. ❤️

This year’s ESR European Society of Radiology campaign puts a particular focus on cardiovascular health and “knowing your numbers”, while also highlighting the role of screening in breast, lung and prostate cancer.

As breast imaging specialists, breast cancer screening is a particular focus for us at EUSOBI. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, and screening aims to detect cancer before a lump or other symptoms appear.

EUSOBI is taking part in the campaign to highlight the role of radiology and imaging in early detection.

As part of the campaign, EUSOBI is joining the conversation at the Annual Scientific Meeting 2026 in Maastricht with Session 1: “Screen Smarter: Evidence, Modalities and Best Practices.”

How does it work?
There will be one multiple choice case during each coffee break (5 in total). Every correct answer will count as one entry for a chance to win.

From 4–6 November 2026, ESOR and the Medical University of Graz will host an intensive three-day course covering the latest approaches to mammography, ultrasound, MRI, ABUS, contrast-enhanced mammography, and image-guided breast interventions.
