Wow..... sharing my new adventure for those who are watching this space.

I have just returned from a working /study intensive, to gain the qualification of Psychedelic Assisted Therapist (PAT).

Such a significant step towards ensuring I am working holistically and in a transformative way.

Can't stop, won't stop 🛑

I am addicted to learning.... I have an endless quest for knowledge around Human Development and Behaviour.

One of the courses I am completing this year is and it is definitely my jam.... always has been. The book "The boy who was raised by a dog," was one of my first and I refer to it on a weekly basis.

- I could learn from you all day and it still wouldn't be enough!

Enough with the Mental Health labels already!!! I am tired of humans being reduced to diagnosis and the stereotypes that go with them. We are complex, multidimensional humans beings with feelings, emotions, dreams and struggles that can’t be summed up by a few words, forms pr manuals!

It’s time we challenge the system that tries to define us because we are more than a list of symptoms.

I am complex.

Happy International Women’s Day!

If ever there was a day you need permission to do something nice for yourself, today is it!!

Beach walk, dance, hug a tree, eat something delicious, have a massage, go for a surf, have a bath, put your legs up the wall…. And set a boundary today.

Let’s do some no bu****it therapy, Mel style.

No amount of mantra’s, yoga, external validation, promotions, money, social media, breathwork, walks on the beach, alcohol, drugs, friends, houses, cars, material posessions, or positive quotes, is going to change the underlying fact you hate yourself.

Yep, let’s face it; in my experience, most people dislike themselves. You might think you are a s**t person, s**t friend, s**t partner, horrible parent or unmotivated worker....

Disagree? Think I’m wrong or being dramatic?

Then let’s play a game; how many times today have you said something horrible to yourself, that you wouldn’t say to a friend/ family member/ co-worker or child?

Today, I am 50….. and I feel like a kid at Christmas 🎄. Although this is my work space, today you get to see ME. I started this week with my dogs at the park, morning dips in the ocean and of course, my beloved morning coffee. Today, I have been feeling all the feels….. so much so that I can’t feel my skin, bones or body…. It’s an intense yet truly content feeling that I hope everyone gets to feel at some point in their lives. Today also marks the day where I get to give less f***s! Those close to me know I always give the appropriate amount of f***s; but now there will be a few less…. So here is to the next chapter of my adventure. Bloody bring it on I say 😂❤️🙏 #50
