Packing your hospital bag?

It’s one of those moments that makes everything feel very real!
The good news is — you don’t need a lot, just a few essentials to keep you and your baby comfortable.

A simple checklist to get you started.

For mothers:
Antenatal pregnancy record
All current medications
Comfortable day and night wear – loose fitting and front opening tops are helpful when breastfeeding
Nursing supplies – sanitary napkins, breast pads and maternity bras
Toiletries – deodorant, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrush

For baby:
Baby wet wipes
Nappies for newborns and nappy cream
Sleep suits in a range of sizes
Baby clothes and blanket for going home

Make sure the car seat is installed and ready to go well before baby's arrival.

And remember, if you forget something, it’s usually not a big deal — it can always be brought in later.

Please note: pants are not an option for an actual examination 😆

A reminder you might need today.

Pregnancy isn't a time to push through everything. It's a time to slow down. To rest when your body asks you to. To take pause, even when life feels busy.

Some days will be productive. Others may look like doing very little. Both are completely okay.

Growing a baby is enough 💛

Feeling unwell? Let’s keep everyone safe.
If you’re feeling sick during your pregnancy — even with something mild — we always recommend switching your appointment to telehealth.
This helps:
✨ Protect you
✨ Protect other pregnant patients
✨ Keep our clinic environment as safe as possible
The good news is that many concerns can still be managed with a phone or video consultation — so you’re fully supported, just from home.
And once you’re feeling better, we can arrange to see you back in the rooms again.
If you’re unsure what to do, just reach out — we’ll guide you on the best option.
You’re never expected to “push through” and come in when you’re unwell.

Things you never expected to Google during pregnancy
“Can my baby feel me poking my belly?”
“Why do I suddenly hate the smell of my own fridge?”
“Is it normal to cry over toast?”
“Why is one b**b doing something completely different to the other?”
…and of course:
“Do I need to worry about THIS???”
If you’ve gone down a 2am Google spiral… you’re not alone!
Pregnancy comes with a lot of questions — some important, some… slightly random.
And honestly?
If you’re thinking it, chances are I’ve already been asked it before!
The good news is you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

What should my AMH be?
It’s one of the most common questions — but the answer isn’t one-size-fits-all.
AMH (Anti-MĂźllerian Hormone) levels reflect your ovarian or "egg reserve" and vary depending on your age and individual biology.

Important facts:
🥚There’s no “perfect” number
🥚AMH measures egg quantity, not quality
🥚You can still conceive with low AMH
🥚High AMH doesn’t guarantee fertility

The most important factor? Your age + your overall health picture

AMH… what does it actually mean?
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is a blood test we often use to get an idea of your ovarian reserve — in simple terms, the number of eggs remaining in your ovaries.
But here’s the important part 👇
AMH is just one piece of the puzzle.
It doesn’t predict:
❌ Your ability to fall pregnant naturally
❌ Egg quality
❌ When you’ll go through menopause
What it can help with:
✔ Understanding your fertility timeline
✔ Guiding fertility treatment if needed
✔ Informing conversations about future planning
It’s easy to feel anxious when you see a number on a result — but context is everything.

One of the most special parts of private obstetric care is the opportunity to check in on your baby regularly — and in many cases, that includes an ultrasound at each appointment.
For my patients, this means:
✨ Reassurance that your baby is developing well
✨ The chance to monitor growth along the way
✨ A moment to connect and see your baby more often
I know pregnancy can bring both excitement and worry — and those regular check-ins can make a big difference in how supported and confident you feel.
Every pregnancy is unique, so your care is always tailored to what’s best for you and your baby.
