Rosellas are a familiar sight in our Park, bringing flashes of red, yellow, green and blue to our trees and gardens. Their vibrant plumage and cheerful chatter make them a favourite among visitors and staff alike.

This August, our SALA in the Park Sculpture Walk returns as part of SALA Festival. Here's a sneak peek of some of the works on display.

Five inspiring and unique sculptures on loan join the 16 much-loved pieces from our permanent collection. View new works from artists Anna Small, Scott Hawkland, Dan Lightowler, Baden Lloyd and Peter Demaria.

Set among mature trees and memorial spaces, our SALA in the Park Sculpture Walk offers a slow, reflective way to encounter contemporary sculpture art within a peaceful park setting.

There is something very powerful about stories told in a young voice.

The SALA Festival exhibition ‘Landlines and Water Stories’ brings together emerging First Nations artists from different mobs across Australia. Through their artwork, they share reflections on water, Country and connection.

Three young learners from Ngutu College joined their educators in the Jubilee Complex Foyer last week to help install the exhibition's 24 artworks. It was a valuable opportunity to see their pieces in the exhibition space and be part of the journey from creation to display.

The exhibition is on display throughout August.

Each winter, more than 7,000 rose bushes receive a seasonal prune at Centennial Park, and we couldn't do it without the help of horticulture students from TAFE SA.

It's a valuable opportunity for hands-on learning and understanding how careful pruning helps improve air circulation, reduce the risk of disease, and encourage healthy new growth.

Their hard work plays an important role in keeping our roses looking their best year after year. 🌹

Thank you to the students and educators. We look forward to seeing the results when the roses return in full colour.
