I feel as though I am standing on a precipice.
Gazing out into something I can’t quite articulate, but which has been slowly taking form across almost five decades.
It has the feel of purpose. Of what I am here to do. Where self-discovery is intimately enmeshed with legacy.
An epic quest woven into the prosaic fabric of everyday life.
Tolkein’s epithet, ‘not all who wander are lost’, captures something of its quality.
Guided by passion and intuition, I find myself standing here. A wry smile as I reflect on how all the seemingly disparate pieces so perfectly align. And how the death of things is so fundamental to the transformation of rebirth.
All the parts of me: the academic, the scholar, the psychotherapist, the embodied woman, the wounded healer, the nurturer….there is more here than the sum of the parts.
There is a woman who wanders, gathering knowledge, experience and wisdom.
A woman whose sight extends beyond the ordinary, revealing the hidden architectures that shape women’s lives, and whose light illuminates opportunities for freedom.
A woman whose service to others is forged within herself.
