Shine Abilities is a daily living disability support service for anyone living with a disability in Adelaide. SHA is a family owned disability support service which includes two Developmental Educators and a Rehabilitation Counsellor who have several years of experience working with people with disabilities in different settings. It was recognised by Ramsha (Developmental Educator & Rehabilitation
Counsellor) and Danish (soon to graduate Developmental Educator) during their years of working with and studying about people with disabilities that providing support that is meaningful, person-centred, inclusive and strength based allows individuals to overcome day to day barriers and participate in life with a purpose and meaning. SHA believes in providing support that meet the needs of people with disabilities with an aim to facilitate empowerment, autonomy, independence, and self-determination by a team of experts who truly understand disability. Currently we are an unregistered service provider, please note to use us as your service provider your NDIS plan must be self or plan managed. If you are NDIS managed we can also support you to make changes to your plan in order for you to access our services ☺

⦿ In home support
- Daily living activities - increasing your independence in your home by providing strength based support through different strategies that work for you
- Personal care - showering, grooming, and other personal care tasks
- Meals - supporting you to cook independent meals, cooking for you, grocery shopping, finding exciting new recipes, following specific dietary needs, and meal planning
- Cleaning, gardening, home maintenance, and other household tasks
- Medication administration
- Medical/health appointments - supporting you to access your appointments, following up on your health records, and assisting you to schedule future appointments as needed
⦿ Community participation
- supporting you to access community events that are meaningful to you
- Leisure, recreation, and sport - supporting you to access and participate in your chosen activity such as swimming, bowling, cricket, football, basketball etc…, going to the movies, going out for lunch/dinner or coffee, markets and many more
- Finding and supporting you to access new vocational activities that interest you
- Social support - supporting you to engage and communicate with other people in your community

- Transport to and from places you wish to or need to visit
- Public transport - supporting you to access public transport and assisting you to use public transport independently
We provide all the services mentioned above, however depending on your individual goals and priorities we can support you to access specific services that meet your needs. In the initial consultation we will look at your individual situation and will evaluate with you your needs, priorities, funding, and level of support needed.
