June is Aphasia Awareness Month 💚 - and it’s a cause that’s very close to our hearts here at MPOT.
We work with many clients living with aphasia every day, and we see firsthand the challenges - and the incredible resilience - that comes with it.
Swipe through to learn what aphasia is, what causes it, what it can look like day-to-day, and how you can support someone living with it.
Aphasia is a communication disorder that can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand, read, or write - but it does not affect their intelligence. It can happen to anyone, most commonly after a stroke.
At MPOT, our team supports people who have experienced strokes and other neurological conditions — including those living with aphasia. If you or someone you love needs support, we’d love to help. 💚
Know someone who should see this? Share it to your story or send it their way.
