Each morning straight out of bed - I like to get outside bare feet and do brain integration moves đź’›

Movement is more than exercise.
It’s a way to release stored stress, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect the brain and body.

When we move — walking, stretching, shaking, breathing, dancing — we help shift stagnant energy and create integration between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

Movement can bring us back into the present moment.
Out of survival mode.
Out of overthinking.
Back into feeling.

Some days healing doesn’t look like doing more.
It looks like getting outside, breathing deeply, moving your body gently, and letting your system soften. 🌿

Your body was designed to move.
And through movement, we often release what words cannot.

Some meals feel like an exhale.

Nothing fancy.
Just warm veggies, a soft egg, creamy hummus, greens, carrot, pumpkin, nuts and seeds… all tucked into one bowl.

The kind of food that feels gentle on the body but still deeply nourishing.

I love meals like this because they remind me that looking after ourselves doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as adding more colour, more warmth, more protein, more plants, and giving ourselves a moment to actually sit and receive it.

To slow down.
To nourish.
To feel held by something simple and good.

Modern life has taught us to treat rest like something we earn at the very end of the day.

After the school drop offs.
After the emails.
After the dishes.
After the rushing.
After the scrolling.
After we’ve pushed through exhaustion pretending we’re “fine.”

Then we expect one night of sleep to undo a full day of stress.

To regulate our hormones.
Calm inflammation.
Repair the body.
Settle the nervous system.
Restore our energy.

That’s a lot to ask from a body that’s been in survival mode since morning.

The truth is, healing doesn’t only happen while we sleep.

Your body is listening all day long.

It notices when you never stop moving.
When you eat standing up.
When you rush every meal.
When you hold your breath without realizing.
When your shoulders stay tense for hours.
When you never give yourself a moment to feel safe.

And modern life has normalized staying switched on all day.

But the body was never designed for constant stimulation.

This is why simple things matter more than people think.

A slow walk in the sun.
Bare feet on the grass.
A deep breath before eating.
Sipping bone broth instead of rushing another coffee.
Stretching your body between tasks.
Watching the sky for a few quiet minutes.
Laughing with someone you love.
Stepping outside without your phone.

Small moments.
Tiny pauses.
Little reminders to the nervous system that you are safe.

Because recovery isn’t meant to be one event at night.

It’s supposed to be woven throughout the day.

And maybe wellness isn’t about adding more pressure, more rules, or more “perfect routines.”

Maybe it’s about creating enough moments where your body can finally exhale.

Every single week I make a huge 11L pot of bone broth đź’›

It’s become one of my non-negotiables for feeling grounded, nourished and energised.

Each morning I pour myself a 1L bottle and sip on it while doing school drop off, heading out for a nature walk, or simply starting my day slowly.

Bone broth is packed with:
✨ Protein to help keep me full and support muscle repair
✨ Collagen + gelatin to support skin, joints and gut health
✨ Minerals and amino acids that help nourish the nervous system
✨ Warm, easy-to-digest nutrients that feel so healing on the body

For me, it’s more than just a health trend. It’s a simple ritual that helps me feel calm, strong and properly nourished before the chaos of the day begins.

Modern life and challenging times pull us in so many directions… but sometimes the most powerful wellness habits are the simplest ones 🌿

For a long time I thought healing had to look productive.
That I needed to push harder, do more, hold everything together.

But lately, nature has been reminding me of something different…

To slow down.
To breathe deeper.
To let the earth hold some of the weight.

Some of the hardest seasons of my life have also brought me back to the simplest things — bare feet on grass, long walks under trees, deep breaths, sunlight on skin, nervous system regulation through nature.

Grounding isn’t just a wellness trend for me anymore.
It’s become survival.
It’s become healing.

When life feels overwhelming, disconnected or heavy…
go outside.
Breathe slowly.
Let your body remember that it belongs to the earth too.

The nervous system calms in nature.
The mind softens.
The body begins to feel safe again.

This is a big part of the story behind why I’m creating Things Change 🌿

Not perfection.
Not hustle.
Just learning to reconnect — with our bodies, our breath, our health and ourselves.

There’s something healing about being in the rain instead of running or hiding from it.

We’re not meant to live only in sunshine. Nature teaches us that every season has purpose — the warmth of summer, the stillness of winter, the winds of change, and the cleansing rain.

The rain washes the earth clean. Maybe it’s meant to wash us clean too.
To slow us down.
To soften us.
To remind us to let go of what we’ve been carrying.

The more I embrace all the elements — sunshine, storms, cold mornings, muddy walks, fresh air — the more connected I feel to myself again.

Maybe healing isn’t about waiting for perfect conditions.
Maybe it’s about learning to dance through every season with believing that you’re right where you’re meant to be. 🌧️✨

💛 Freshly made chicken bone broth - with apple cider vinegar, black pepper, iodine salt and garlic. I sip on a litre of this each day - it’s my ritual for a clear mind and a clear gut. It grounds me and soothes me. It nourishes me inside and out xx

There’s something powerful about stepping away from the noise and letting nature hold you for a while.

Lately I’ve been immersing myself in it… walking slowly, breathing deeply, absorbing everything around me. The stillness, the movement, the quiet wisdom that exists without trying.

Nature doesn’t rush.
It doesn’t force.
It simply is.

And in that space, I’m learning to do the same.

To soften.
To listen.
To heal without pressure.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do… is pause, walk, and let the earth remind us who we are. 🌿
