Farewell and thanks to Dr Bill Antonas. For more than 30 years he has been first our teacher, then our colleague and for the last few years our steadfast assistant. And throughout always a great friend. However, time comes for even the best things to come to an end. He’s delivered thousands of babies himself and plenty more with us.
Enjoy retirement Bill and thanks for everything.

He’s too little to stay home alone so today we had a brief visit from Dawson (named after a favourite Crow), Julie’s new best friend. He is very well behaved and an extremely handsome fellow. We may have to find him a permanent job in the practice.

I think a wife who gives birth to 14 children deserves a monument built in her honour by her husband . At least I managed to take mine there on her birthday.
Wonderful holiday! Back to work soon.
Addit: While we have enjoyed some of the comments, just to allay any confusion, it was the wife of the Emperor Shah Jahan who had 14 children and for whom the Taj Mahal was built - not my wife!

Some advice for the next few days…

A lovely Christmas lunch with a great team. We all particularly enjoyed it when the waitress cried “Oh my God it’s my Gynaecologist!!”. The rooms are now closed until Monday 29th December, but the hospitals are open so call if any emergencies. Merry Christmas everybody.
