Anzac Day is a significant occasion for us to honour the sacrifice and courage of those who served and is a time of reconnection.
It can also be a challenging time for current serving members, veterans, their families, friends and support networks.
Open Arms - Veterans & Families Counselling provides free and confidential counselling to anyone who has served at least one day in the Australian Defence Force and their families. For 24-hour crisis support, contact 1800 011 046.
Safe Zone Support provides free, anonymous phone counselling 24/7 on 1800 142 072.
The Urgent Mental Health Care Centre (UMHCC) is also available 24/7 and provides free support every day of the year at 215 Grenfell Street, Adelaide, to anyone aged 16 and over, including serving defence forces and veterans.
No Medicare card, appointment or referral required – just walk-in.
