⚠️IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SCAM SMS OR EMAIL

The ACMA is warning Australians about a new scam where criminals impersonate HotDoc, a medical appointment booking service, and send fake messages about Medicare refunds or overcharges. These text messages and emails include a link to a fake website that appears legitimate but is designed to steal your personal or banking details. To make these message look real, scammers spoof (copy) the phone number and sender ID of businesses or people you know. Scam messages can even appear in the same message chain as real messages from the organisation, making them even harder to spot.

Blair Athol Medical Clinic engages booking platforms such as Hotdoc and Health Engine for the management of online appointment bookings and recall appointments. You will not receive a message regarding billing or banking through Hotdoc or Health Engine through us. Consultation Claim information is not shared with booking platforms.

What to do if you receive a suspected scam message

⚠️Do not click any links or download any attachments in the suspicious message

⚠️Do not reply with any personal information.
