𧱠One block at a time. π
What looks like simple play is actually so much more than that. π§ β¨
When a toddler stacks blocks they are building:
β Fine motor control: precise hand and finger movements
β Hand-eye coordination: connecting what they see with what they do
β Spatial awareness: understanding size, balance, and position
β Problem solving: figuring out what works and what doesn't
β Concentration & focus: sustained attention on a goal
β Visual perceptual skills: judging distance, depth, and alignment
β Bilateral coordination: using both hands together π
Every single one of these skills has a neurological foundation, and when the nervous system is well supported through reflex integration, these milestones come so much more naturally. π
At TDT we love working with our littlest clients because early intervention makes the biggest difference. The earlier we can support the nervous system, the stronger those foundations become. π
Is your toddler hitting their developmental milestones? We'd love to chat. π²
