For Men's Health Awareness Month we held a (Men Only) Games Day at our Norfolk Estate Retirement Village.

Thursday afternoon saw the Community Centre fill with laughter and banter when 21 fellow villagers came together to play a selection of games. Table tennis, always a favourite, produced the loudest cheers where as the men playing Bowls and Billiards were quietly calculating their next move to gain the edge on their opponent.

The afternoon at Norfolk Estate was a great success and we hope to offer this same event at our some of our other Retirement Villages next year.

☕️ Biggest Morning Tea at Norfolk Estate Retirement Village☕️

Last Wednesday, the Norfolk Estate Community Centre was filled with warmth, laughter and community spirit as residents came together for the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea.

With delicious treats, a chilly autumn breeze, and plenty of cuppas, everyone enjoyed a relaxed and cheerful morning. There were lots of laughs, great conversations, and some fantastic prizes shared throughout the event.

We are incredibly grateful for all the generous donations, the final total is still being counted, so stay tuned for the exciting result! 😃

A special thanks to the social committee for their wonderful effort in organising the event, from decoration and food to speeches and activities. It was truly a fantastic morning enjoyed by all. 🧡

Acacia on Lipsett Retirement Village held a Biggest Afternoon Tea for the Cancer Council Foundation last Wednesday. 46 people enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea.

The afternoon tea began with champagne on arrival and a wonderful afternoon tea of freshly home baked delights made and donated by residents, which was enjoyed by all. Residents from Acacia on Henley & Constance also attending. There were raffles and lucky square envelopes to win which saw some residents winning a prize for the very first time! Fundraising efforts on the day raised $722.20!

Following this event, our Acacia on Constance Retirement Village also held a Biggest Afternoon Tea with 36 people attending. The tables were set with the beautiful bone China tea sets and fresh roses from the garden on each table.

One resident describing it as one of the most beautiful events the Village has ever had. Receiving a lot of donations from people that could not attend and fundraising efforts on the day saw them raise $1000.00! Which was an amazing achievement and we thank the residents and friends from all our Acacia Park villages.
