Disability and mental health are different experiences, but they can intersect. 💚
Living with disability doesn't automatically mean someone experiences poor mental health. But just like anyone else, people with disability can experience stress, anxiety, loneliness and other mental health challenges.
Sometimes, additional barriers can make looking after mental wellbeing more difficult. Things like social isolation, communication barriers, inaccessible services or feeling excluded from everyday activities.
That's why inclusion, genuine connection and having a say in your own life matter.
At Carelink, we believe meaningful support starts with listening. Understanding what matters to each person, respecting their choices and supporting opportunities to connect with others.
This Mental Health Month, we're encouraging everyone to remember that mental wellbeing is part of everyone's wellbeing.
And sometimes, something as simple as feeling heard can make a meaningful difference. 💚
