**ATTENTION - NDIS ALERT**
An important warning was shared by a parent and advocate.
If the NDIA calls you to "check in," don't assume it's just a courtesy call.
Ask: "Is this call part of a plan review or reassessment?"
If you're unsure, don't continue the conversation until you understand its purpose. You have the right to request a support person, your SC, PRC, advocate or nominee be present. So make a time suitable for you and your support person.
Be informed. Ask questions. Protect your rights.
What this call has done to some participants, is that you say all is going ok, and nothing needs updating, then unfortunately in some cases they are creating a brand new plan.
