✨ “Your lab results are normal.” ✨
It’s something many of my clients hear from their doctors, yet they don’t feel normal at all. Despite the reassuring numbers, they come to me feeling exhausted, run down, and far from thriving.
The truth is, “normal” doesn’t always mean optimal. Lab reference ranges are broad, often designed to flag serious disease but not subtle imbalances. Just because your results fall within that wide range doesn’t guarantee your body is functioning at its best.
🌿 In my practice, we dig deeper. When someone says they feel constantly fatigued, sluggish, or emotionally flat, I look beyond the numbers. I assess:
🔎 Thyroid function: TSH might be “normal,” but what about T3, T4, or antibodies?
🧪 Iron and ferritin: A lab may report you’re "in range," but if you're scraping the lower end, you could still feel depleted.
💥 Cortisol and adrenal function: Stress impacts energy, but this won’t always show up in traditional labs.
🩸 B12 and folate: Technically normal levels may not be sufficient for your needs.
🧠 Hormone balance: Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels fluctuate and can affect energy, focus, and emotional health.
Our goal is not just to be disease-free but to feel vibrant and well.
✨ "I believe my clients when they tell me their lab results are 'normal,' but they don't feel that way." ✨
Just because the labs say you're fine doesn't mean your experience isn't real. Many of the people I work with feel exhausted, burned out, or unwell, even though their results fall within 'normal' ranges. This is why I take the time to listen. You know your body better than anyone else.
