This year, as you know, I’ve really taken a step back from social media.
I needed some time to heal. To create space. To slow down and, most importantly, to go within.
And honestly… it’s been amazing. ❤️
I’ve really appreciated having that space to simply be.
So this morning, I did something I wouldn’t normally do on a Saturday — but this time, my neighbour and I decided to volunteer to count platypus in our local river
And it was absolutely magical. 🦆🌿
It was such a beautiful morning. We spotted some tiny, tiny ducklings and, from a distance, two beautiful platypus going about their morning.
There was something incredibly peaceful about sitting quietly by the water, watching and waiting.
You’re not really allowed to talk when you’re counting platypus, so there was nothing to do but be still… to breathe… to listen… and to take in all the beauty that nature has to offer.
And I was reminded once again that sometimes, sitting in nature is exactly what your soul needs.
No scrolling.
No noise.
No rushing.
Just stillness, presence and connection.
And perhaps that’s what healing can look like sometimes — not doing more, but simply creating the space to be.
Although I must admit… I’m in a little bit of trouble now. 😂
Bubbles was not impressed that she had to stay home while I went platypus spotting. So I think I have a little making up to do there! 🐾❤️
Here’s to slowing down, going within and remembering just how healing nature can be. 🌿✨
