Pelvic Pain Q&A with Dr Christine Oosterhuis – Part 3

How is the Pioneer Pelvic Pain Clinic different from a standard GP appointment?

Dr Christine Oosterhuis explains how our clinic is designed to provide longer appointments, coordinated multidisciplinary care, and the time to understand the full picture of your symptoms.

Pelvic pain is often complex and can affect many aspects of daily life. Taking the time to listen, assess your symptoms thoroughly, and develop an individualised management plan is an important part of our approach.

Pelvic pain can be complex — and understanding the full picture can take time.

In the third video in our pelvic pain series, Dr Christine Oosterhuis explains how the Pioneer Pelvic Pain and Menopause Clinic approaches care differently, with longer appointments, comprehensive assessment and access to a multidisciplinary team.

The aim is to understand not only your symptoms, but how pelvic pain may be affecting different areas of your health and day-to-day life, so care can be tailored to you.

There is no fee for your initial Intake Appointment.
GP appointments are also bulk billed for high school students and concession card holders.

👖Jeans for Genes Day! 👖

We've gone casual for a cause. Jeans for Genes raises funds for Children's Medical Research Institute to support research into genetic diseases, helping improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention for children and families affected by these conditions.

Today we've donned the denim, donated the dosh, and some of us might even be brave enough to sample the blue treats! 💙

Take the next step for your health this World Hepatitis Day.

In Australia, an estimated 300,000 people are living with hepatitis B or hepatitis C, and many remain undiagnosed or are not currently engaged in care.

The work on viral hepatitis doesn’t end with elimination. Long-term effort is needed to keep transmission down. Without it, there’s always a risk the numbers will rise again.

Persistent fatigue. Pain. Brain fog. Changes in mood. Sleep disruption. Ongoing discomfort.

Sometimes we get so used to pushing through that we stop listening to what our body is trying to tell us.

Gentle reminder to check in with yourself this week.
