Hi community - we are in search of some more support for social media, community engagement, and media/PR. We are also still seeking help with our archiving!

If there is anyone out there who can lend us a few hours of your time each month to help us, we have a lot of amazing things we want to achieve in these roles but lack the womanpower to get it done.

We'd love to chat with you.

Please don't feel you need to be a professional at any of these tasks - some familiarity with them would be ideal, but not essential.

Ideally we'd love to bring in multiple people to help with social media as it is such a huge job, and handle a particular pillar of content each. Social media and community engagement would work closely together but are two separate roles.

Homebirth access is in jeopardy.

From 1 January 2027, the current PII exemption ends and all midwives providing intrapartum care outside hospital will need to be endorsed in order to be insured under the Midwife Professional Indemnity Scheme.

ACM is asking for protection against unintended consequences for women, families and the profession

• Investment in a transitional to primary practice program and expediated NMBA reforms to strengthen the PPM workforce
• Proportional insurance for 2nd midwives and those working towards endorsement
• A 12-month extension to the exemption to enable development of a sustainable workforce

Every woman deserves choice of care provider, model of care and place of birth, no matter where they live.

So much attention, planning and discussion goes into birth for families, but are we also discussing, planning and getting educated about our fourth trimester? The parenting part? The bit where we are recovering from birth, getting to know our baby & adjust to a new family dynamic?

We have a few Fourth Trimester classes left for 2026, with some spaces in all classes. Our August class will be our last class in Gather Studio Port Kembla, our September and October classes will be held Embrace Medical on Crown Wollongong.
