Child and Family Health nurses will be at Early Start on Friday, 20 November, offering free developmental checks for children aged 0-5 in our Immersive Learning Space.

Families can also access advice and support on feeding, nutrition, emotional wellbeing and everyday parenting.

Whether you birthed at home, in hospital, had a caesarean, transferred during labour, or your birth unfolded differently to what you imagined, you are welcome here 🤍

I’d absolutely love to catch up, see some familiar faces, meet some new ones and spend a relaxed morning together.

Bring a picnic rug, something to drink & snack on and the kids if you like! We will be set up near the playground 🛝

Some people give so much to their community without ever asking for anything in return. Tim Fares is one of those people.

Tim and Emma are not only incredibly special friends to our family, but they have been such a huge part of the Illawarra community and, in particular, the basketball community, for more than 40 years. 🏀❤️

Right now, their family is facing something no family should ever have to go through.

Emma is currently receiving palliative care in the final stages of her battle with Glioblastoma. Together, Emma and Tim have three beautiful boys - Max, 14, Abel, 12, and Isiah, 10 - and their family is facing an incredibly difficult road ahead. 💗

Tim has spent years giving his time, energy and support to others and to our community. Now, it’s our turn to help Tim, Emma and their boys.

There is nothing we can do to change what this beautiful family is facing, but we can help take away some of the financial pressure and allow them to focus on what matters most - being together.

Researchers from The University of Western Australia are inviting women who experienced a postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) to share their early postpartum care and breastfeeding experiences through a short, anonymous online survey.

You may be eligible if you:

💜 Are aged 18 or over and live in Australia
💜 Experienced a postpartum haemorrhage within the past five years

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes, and your experience could help improve care and support for other women.
