A compounded medication does not arrive at ISPHH Albury Compounding already made. It is prepared here.

When we receive a prescription for a compounded medication, our compounding team reviews the prescription and prepares the medication according to the prescribed strength and dosage form.

There is much more happening behind the dispensary than most people ever get to see.

Health support does not only happen during appointments.

There are often questions that come up before, between or after seeing a health professional.

❔You might want to understand how to take a new medication.
❔You might need to check whether an over the counter product is suitable with your current medication.
❔You might want to organise a vaccination.
❔You might have a compounding question after receiving a prescription.

At ISPHH Albury Compounding, our pharmacists can provide practical pharmacy based support and let you know when further follow up may be needed.

We are here to work alongside your broader healthcare team. Visit ISPHH Albury Compounding and speak with us.

Hayfever is not just one symptom, so managing it is not necessarily about choosing one product from the allergy section and hoping for the best.

Some people are constantly sneezing. Others struggle most with a blocked or runny nose. For some, it is itchy, watery eyes that make spring uncomfortable.

Antihistamines, nasal sprays, saline products and eye products all have different roles.

Rather than choosing something based on the packet you recognise, tell our pharmacist what is actually bothering you. We can help you work through the options and choose something appropriate for your symptoms and circumstances.

Because sometimes the first question should not be “Which brand?", it should be “What am I actually trying to treat?”

You may have heard us talk about compounding, but what does it actually mean?

Compounding is the preparation of medication to meet an individual prescription when a standard commercially available option may not suit what is needed.

That could relate to the strength, dosage form, ingredients or availability of a medication. It can also be useful when medication needs to be prepared specifically for a child or an animal.

At ISPHH Albury Compounding, compounded medications are prepared onsite by our trained team according to the prescription provided.

If hayfever tends to arrive for you as soon as the weather starts warming up, late August is a good time to check what you already have at home.

Is it still in date? Did it actually work for you last spring? Were you treating the symptom that was bothering you most, or simply reaching for the same product you have always used?

Hayfever can affect your nose, eyes and throat differently, which means the right approach is not necessarily the same for everyone.

There are tablets, nasal sprays, saline products and eye products available for different symptoms.

If last year's approach did not quite do the job, bring your questions into ISPHH Albury Compounding and speak with our pharmacist before spring gets properly underway.

Not every treatment stays the same.

There are times where doses need to be adjusted, delivery methods need to change, or the original approach just isn’t working as expected.

Compounding allows for that level of flexibility, with medications prepared to suit the individual rather than relying only on fixed, standard options.

At ISPHH Albury Compounding, we support patients and prescribers in situations where adjustments are needed. If your current medication doesn’t feel quite right, come into store or contact the team and we’ll help guide the next step.

We often keep track of appointments, medications and other commitments, but regular health checks can easily be forgotten.

The SISU Health Station at ISPHH Albury Compounding makes it easy to include a health check in your usual routine. It only takes a few minutes and provides information about a range of important health measures.

Look for the SISU Health Station next time you visit us.

Did you know we can compound medications that are no longer commercially available?

Managing medication for yourself is one thing. Managing it for a household is something else entirely.

Between school, work, sport, and everything in between, time gets tight quickly.

24 hour script collection means you can pick up what you need when the house finally slows down, not when the clock says you should.

It is a small shift that makes things easier.
