✨🍂 Afternoon reminder, Lantern Keepers… 🏮

There will be no Lantern meditation tonight. 🤍

As always, this fortnight’s donations will still be gifted to our chosen charity on Thursday morning. 🌿✨

Thank you for continuing to support these little gatherings, the community we’ve built, and the hearts they help beyond our circle. It truly means so much. 🕯️💛

Wishing you a gentle evening. Light a candle, make a cuppa, and be kind to yourself. 🌙☕🍃

Life has asked me to slow down in ways I never expected.

Right now, my availability for one-to-one sessions is incredibly limited as our family navigates a season that needs my full heart and attention. Rather than opening my calendar and not being able to offer the presence every soul deserves, I’m choosing to honour this chapter with intention.

The Lantern is still glowing though. 🍂

✨ Letters from the Lantern continue each month.
✨ My writing is still flowing.
✨ The community is still growing.
✨ And yes… the “Yourself is the Destination” shirts are still available to order via DM while I wait for the latest stock to arrive.

This isn’t the season I imagined, but I’m learning to trust it anyway.

Thank you to everyone who continues to walk beside me, support my little business, and hold space while our family finds its footing. It means more than you’ll ever know. 🤎

Who the hell does she think she is?

She wants people to book Reiki.

She reckons she can sell tickets to events.

She launched a bloody T-shirt with a slogan on it.

Now she's writing letters... inspired by Celtic wisdom... putting them in envelopes... and asking people to buy them.

And don't even get me started on this Substack thing.

Honestly...

Who the hell does she think she is?
..

Hi.

It's me.

I thought tonight I'd unpack all the little corners of this strange little world I've been building, because from the outside it probably looks like I've thrown spaghetti at the wall and hoped something sticks.

But there is a thread running through all of it.

So let's begin.

Lantern Light Reiki

Right now I offer one-on-one Reiki sessions here in Albury.

They're called Lantern Light.

Not because I thought it sounded pretty, but because the lantern has become the heartbeat behind everything I create.

When you walk into that room, I ask you to leave the world at the door.

For one hour, there is nowhere to perform.

Nothing to fix.

Nothing to achieve.

Nothing to become.

Just yourself.

(You'll notice that message keeps appearing. That's intentional.)

During the session I don't usually speak.

This isn't counselling.

It isn't a massage.

Sometimes my hands rest gently on the body.

Sometimes they don't touch you at all.

Every session unfolds differently.

Alongside the Reiki itself, I often receive messages, symbols or impressions. Sometimes they arrive quietly. Sometimes they're incredibly specific. We unpack everything together at the end, and you take from it whatever feels true for you.

It's simply an hour where somebody else holds the lantern while you remember where yours has been all along.

If that feels like something you're needing, you can book a session here.

Then I started writing letters...

Honestly...

How bloody cool.

The 1990s pen-pal era can absolutely eat its heart out.

There is something magical about opening a real envelope in a world that expects everything instantly.

Each month I sit down and write.

Not because a content calendar tells me to.

Because something wants to be written.

Every letter is created with the Celtic Wheel turning quietly in the background, with Reiki flowing through my hands and my own guides gently nudging the words into place.

I don't ask you to subscribe.

You don't need another monthly payment leaving your account.

You simply order one when you feel the pull.

The letters are mailed between the 1st and 5th of each month, following the rhythm of the Celtic seasons.

And this month...

Something really exciting is happening.

For the first time another Australian creative is joining the magic.

The incredibly talented Samantha is creating handmade bookmarks that will be tucked inside every August letter.

I can't tell you how excited I am.

My dream is to slowly build each month's letter into something that feels like opening a tiny piece of wonder in your mailbox.

If you'd like one waiting for you next month...

And then there are the T-shirts...

Oversized.

Because life is better oversized.

Black.

Because ninety percent of my wardrobe already is.

Across the front they read...

YOURSELF IS THE DESTINATION.

People ask me what it means.

So here's my answer.

How many times have you searched for someone else to tell you what you already knew?

How many online courses have simply echoed the quiet knowing that was already living inside your chest?

How many books have made you whisper,

"I swear I've known this forever."

Maybe you've felt your soul recognise something before your mind could explain it.

Maybe you've had that strange feeling that you've walked this road before.

I don't think wisdom only arrives through someone else.

I think sometimes we're simply remembering.

Remembering courage we've carried before.

Remembering trust.

Remembering ourselves.

I don't need another guru.

I don't need another ten-step framework.

I don't need another thing to add to my to-do list.

Sometimes I just need to stop long enough to hear the wisdom that has been patiently waiting for me all along.

That's what Yourself Is the Destination means to me.

It's not a slogan.

It's a reminder.

One that I happened to print on a really comfortable oversized black T-shirt.

---

So... why a lantern?

Because I don't believe we're meant to see the whole road.

Imagine walking through the darkness carrying a lantern.

It doesn't illuminate the next five years.

It doesn't reveal your entire purpose.

It simply lights the distance between your heart and your outstretched hand.

Just enough for your next step.

And honestly...

Sometimes that's all we need.

Not the end goal.

Not the ten-year plan.

Just enough light to keep walking today.

Maybe that's what everything I've built has been trying to say.

The Reiki.

The letters.

The shirts.

The writing.

The conversations.

The lantern has never been the destination.

It's simply what helps us remember that...

the destination is yourself.

As the seasons begin to turn, so will Lantern Hour. 🕯️

After a beautiful winter together, I’ve decided that our fortnightly meditation evenings will be coming to a close for now.

That means we have just three gatherings left, with our final Lantern Hour taking place on Tuesday, 18th August.

These evenings have been such a gentle pocket of stillness. We’ve breathed together, rested together, laughed, cried, and remembered what it feels like to simply be human in the company of other beautiful souls.

If you’ve been thinking, “I’ll come to the next one,” this is your sign. There are only three more opportunities to sit in the circle before we close this chapter.

This isn’t goodbye forever. It’s simply making space for what wants to come next.

I’d love to share these final evenings with both familiar faces and those who’ve been meaning to come all along.

If Lantern Hour has been on your heart, now is the time. 💚

This Sunday's essay is one of the hardest things I've ever written.

It's not about autism.

It's not about ADHD.

It's about the quiet exhaustion of feeling like you're constantly having to prove your mothering, your child, and your family's reality.

If you've ever walked away from a conversation wondering,
"Why do I always feel like I'm defending the people I love most?"... this one is for you.

"I Am Done Proving My Mothering." lands this Sunday.

If you'd like to read the full essay and support the Lantern, I'd love to welcome you as a paid Lantern Keeper. Your subscription helps me keep writing the stories that don't fit into a 60-second reel, and it means this publication can continue to grow.

The lantern will be lit on Sunday. 🕯️
