Super proud to say we are still going strong here in little old Aldinga Beach.

If you’re a local, a small business owner or a past business owner, you understand how much of a big deal it is for a brick and mortar business to make it past a year, let alone 2, or 3 years, in Aldinga, and especially in the shopping centre.

We are so blessed, and I am truely humbled and honoured of my beautiful and loyal clients who continue to support our small business. We are even more grateful to all the new clients who take a chance on trying something new, and visiting us at Skin Inparlour Skin & Laser Clinic.

Pico laser technology utilises ultra-short picosecond pulses to deliver high-energy laser light into the skin with extreme precision. Unlike traditional nanosecond lasers that rely primarily on heat, pico devices create a photoacoustic effect—a rapid pressure wave that shatters pigment particles into significantly smaller fragments without excessive thermal damage to surrounding tissue.

The Cutera Enlighten Pico Laser targets melanin within the epidermal and dermal layers. The energy is selectively absorbed by pigment, causing:
• Fragmentation of melanin clusters into microscopic particles
• Stimulation of lymphatic clearance, allowing the body to naturally eliminate pigment
• Collagen and elastin induction, contributing to overall skin rejuvenation

This dual-action approach addresses both superficial pigmentation (e.g. solar lentigines) and deeper dermal pigment (e.g. some forms of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation).

Who is this treatment for?

Pico pigmentation treatments are clinically indicated for:
• Sun damage and solar lentigines
• Age spots
• Freckling
• Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
• Uneven skin tone and dyschromia

What to expect.

During the procedure, patients may experience a mild snapping or tingling sensation, often compared to a rubber band against the skin. Treatment times are typically short (10–20 minutes depending on area), and topical anaesthetic is rarely required.

• Slight oedema (swelling)

Recovery & Downtime

• Strict broad-spectrum SPF use
• Avoidance of heat, active skincare, and UV exposure for several days
• Allowing any darkened pigment to naturally exfoliate (typically within 5–10 days)
